Bought 2 items for my wife couple of days before Christmas & unfortunately got wrong size, when I bought them ( paid cash ) the shop assistant said I would receive a e Mail receipt which I never got & didn?t get a till receipt. Went through customer service On Line & within 24 hrs & giving them some information was told to take them back and I would receive a refund or gift cardWent to the shop yesterday & all I had to show was the e Mail & was given a gift card with the amount on.Absolutely 1st class from customer service & the shop assistant

We visited the store today and received fantastic Customer service in the menswear department. We were made to feel really welcome. The two ladies were really friendly. They offered us a scratch card each which gave us a great discount on our purchase. We will definitely pay them another visit.

I found the staff at the Halifax store extremely helpful. Ella was really nice and accommodating. nothing was too much trouble. I am a self confessed anxious shopper. I really wanted to try new styles and Ella & her coworker, ( I?m sorry I didn?t catch her name) went out of their way in a busy day to make me feel confident and suggested outfits that may suit my physic and age.Thank you

I'd give it 4 stars, because I do like the quality & price of a lot things they sell. Especially accessories & footwear.But I'm knocking one star off due to being watched like a hawk every single time I go go in to shop. ? Guess they mustn't think look like a 'typical' River Island shopper.

Been in a few times with my son in the pram and over heard elderly staff say keep and eye on her she looks dodgy and starts following me around the store when I?m trying to buy my son some new outfits, it?s absolutely outrageous
