Convenient location. Rather nice beside old canal basin. Room cosy and warm. Reception staff really friendly and welcoming. Room slightly smaller than most Premier inns but actually preferred it. Comfortable bed. Could park right outside. Meals in Brewers Fayre next

Very friendly staff but the hotel is tucked away behind massive roadworks and opposite a Macdonalds and a Shell petrol station. So the atmosphere of an Old Water Mill is blighted by the surroundings. Nice rooms but the lack of a sofa made ours less than comfortable to relax in.

The customer service and quality of the rooms for the price is just insane. The best value for money I think I have ever had. The staff called me the day before to ask if I wanted a ground floor or first floor room; on check in I was warmly welcomed and offered some sweets. The room was insulate and modern.Even on checkout the effort made by the member of staff to ask how my staff was and wish me a merry Christmas was exceptional.

After having a problem sleeping with my husband being ill it was no problem what so ever in them moving us to a family room with 2 beds, the first room was lovely and quiet the second room there was no form of heating in the bathroom which was very cold, the staff service was superb very friendly and nothing too much for themRooms: Very clean and well maintained, extra pillows and bedding if requiredFood & drinks: Typical premier inn chain but excellent all you can eat breakfast, service was superb

Do not stay at this hotel, especially for work.Loud roadworks all night, can't sleep a wink. Jackhammer going constantly and banging from the road, trucks left running. As of 30/10/23. Sleep elsewhere until resolved. I wish this review was on here for me tonight.Noteworthy details: MIDNIGHT ROADWORKS

An outside walk for breakfast, which is up an incline.Be aware all the rooms on the ground floor have an outside entrance, which is fine if the weather is good.

The chalet room we had was small with just a desk and chair, no armchair but it was nice.Food & drinks: We went for an evening meal, I ordered a starter of garlic mushrooms which comes with BBQ sauce, battered cauliflower was brought with a periperi sauce so it was basically the same shape and with the periperi I didn't realise until my wife tried one with her BBQ sauce. I took them back and they exchanged them for fresh cooked ones. The main course fish was good, the peas hot but the chips were luke warm and rubbery. We didn't have breakfast based on the evening meal.

Such polite and helpful staff - don?t think I have been to a hotel with such friendly people working every single staff member we encountered through our 2 night stay were lovely. Rooms clean and spacious, fan was provided which was very helpful, bathrooms big enough. On an evening there is a VERY strong smell outside from the canal and apparently this is normal. During the day the smell wasn?t there! Lots of roadworks around the hotel and they very kindly called us before our visit and informed us of these. Would stay here again if we needed to!

Great location, very comfortable rooms and the staff I met were lovely, always very helpful, highly recommend.Rooms: Chalet room was very comfortable.Safety: Out of the way location with good safety.Walkability: Alongside the canal and 5-10 mins walk to town and local hospitals.Food & drinks: Pub almost next door with discount for guests.
