I don't know why they have staff tills at this store.
Whenever you go one person is behind the till, chatting to a colleague. They just point at the self service tills and if you struggle they sigh and Huff and puff because they have to help you.
Very poor service. Unhelpful and ignorant staff

Not much priced at £1 these days and I hate all the self service checkouts with cameras on... If you don't trust your customers then don't install these things making them ring up their own shopping.

Can someone explain me why the fitting room is opened at the top and there is a video camera positioned the way so everything what happens in the fitting room is clearly seen???

It hurts me to write this and I'm in utter shock yesterday I walked in minding my own business to hear all 3 members of staff at the tills taking and laughing about being groomed as a child this is disgusting and under no circumstances funny iv tried to call the store today to make a complaint but they do not answer so today when I go to town I'll speak to the manger in person. Little note to the lady who found it funny it is not funny and never should you joke about things like that you don't know what people have been through

when i was about to buy an energy drink one of the employees asked for my ID.. and apparently you need to be 25 to have it and to actually have an energy drink you need to be 16 or over! hope she gets fired! never returning here

A huge place with lots of stock wide aisles for the most part. It's one of those places you go in for one thing and end up getting several things lol.
The staff are really nice. The shop can get busy and often there are quite long queues. Overall a good experience.

Whilst minding my own while I paying for my stuff there was a bit of a kerfuffle going on behind me & the young lady standing at the next till was looking on with a look of absolute horror on her face. I think 'what the hells happening, turned round & 3 female shop staff were having a right old tussle with some idiot man who thought it was OK to take a big bag of stuff without paying!! Did he look sheepish? Apologetic? Not one bit of it he behaved in the most appalling way towards these women ever putting his hands on them twice. These were ladies after mine & the youngster to the side of me's heart ? they really got stuck in, finally got him outside and he was sent packing. These ladies were awesome!!! This was over and done with in minutes but the look of sheer horror on the other customers face was what caught my attention then after being stopped he continued to try it on. I'm sooo glad that it was near to closing as if it had been the middle of the afternoon when towns busy with teenagers coming home from school or kids with mums after the school day ........... I rest my case & wouldn't know this character if I set eyes on him again but why not even a PCSO in sight ?? It's really not OK to allow people like this just earning a crust to have to face idiots like this on a daily basis & as a local it doesn't take too much of a guess to know exactly where any shoplifting in out town to be coming from.
Poundland bosses, the girls should get a fabulous treat each for protecting your store & your stuff so dammed well. My hats off to all of them ?
