Work van collected for MOT and service, meant to be delivered back to me. Walked to the store Monday morning to find out what was going on. One advisor told me it should be all done despite the van still being in the air on the ramp. Another told me after speaking to the mechanic there was no oil in stock. Who does a service with no oil in stock! Pretty sure there's oil on the shelf in the halfords store a couple of miles away. Not the first time this store has provided poor service.
Van was previously in for EML on and auxiliary water pump failure. They initially just cleared the codes and sent me on my way, then had my van 2 weeks and engaged the parts canon and changed pretty much everything to do with the coolant system.

Booked online for MOT , unfortunately failed on front tyres (I was aware they were borderline)
They ordered new at a reasonable price and fitted next day , all staff I spoke to were polite and friendly and will be happy to trust them with my vehicle again.

My experience with this garage has been disappointing with the lack of due diligence shown from the technician?s workmanship. I took my car in for what I had hoped for a simple wheel alignment, however this took longer than expected and was advised that additional force and heat was needed to loosen the components for adjustment due to the age of the vehicle which I understand. However, after bringing the car home, I had a look at the work and found that the driver side CV Boot was damaged and was leaking grease, this being an MOT failure and a risk to the vehicles braking system. I notified the garage who advised they would have a look. The garage did agree to replace the CV Boot. It is surprising that the technician was unable to spot the damaged CV boot, if existing and not an accident, whilst doing the alignment, and not notifying me of this issue. I returned on Friday where the garage kept the car for most part of the day but were unable to do the work as they said they didn?t have the tool to fit on the CV boot and was advised to return on the following Monday. The garage had the car from opening and advised when they had completed the work (14:20). Again, I felt that I had to check the work when I came home, and I?m glad I did, as I found that the holding clip hadn?t been fastened securely and had slipped off allowing grease to come out. I rang the garage back to advise of the issue, they said they would put on another clip (jubilee) but were to close at 4pm. Whilst the technician was trying to replace the clip he advised that the clips that come with the CV boot are no good and you need the proper tool to fit the clip which is why they suggested fitting the jubilee clip. If this was the case, why did the technician not put on the jubilee clip in the first instance? When I asked about the quality of the CV Boot they were installing I was told that all parts are of the same standards and you don?t get any better quality then that they have sourced. FYI, I?ve had the CV boot replaced in the past by other garages who were more than capable of fitting the proper clips that come with the CV boot. As the technician struggled and conscious of the time (finishing) requested that I leave the car, when I advised that I need the car the next day the technician was rude and aggressive toward me asking if I wanted to do the job myself or leave the vicinity. I waited in the office for the work to be completed, and this time was advised that the work had been checked before the keys being handed back. For an establishment such as this you would think they took the safety of their customers seriously and would expect them to check the work before giving the vehicle back to the customers. I would recommend that if you have had any work done here that you get it checked by another garage. The only positive is that the office staff are polite and friendly and were more than accommodating for me to bring the car back. However this is inconvenient and the work should be done correctly the first time round.

Booked my car in online for 11.30am for a wheel alignment. When dropping my car off, I was told that there was another car in front of mine so it could take up to 2 hours. I said that's fine, not a problem. But after an hour and a half of walking around town I thought I'll just wait for it to be finished at the autocentre. When I arrived my car hadn't even been looked at. It was still parked where id left it! I asked for a refund and my keys back.
The lad that I spoke with was nice and pleasant. But what a waste of time. Why have a booking system that means nothing? If I had been told to leave my car there all day for something quite simple I would have just gone to a local garage.
Very disappointed with the whole experience to be honest.

Female 24Used a free service to get my brakes checked due to hearing grinds and squeaks. I also paid for a clutch and steering check which they didn't do and still haven't given me my money back for...I got a call an hour after drop off to which I got a quote of £400 and that my front discs and pads needed replacing and my rear shoes also needed replacing along with a brake fluid change...I got a second opinion and a third opinion...A job i got quoted £400 for was done £80 later... just a brake pad change ( discs were fine) and a rear shoe CLEAN not replacement.Cant help but think they saw a damsel in distress and took advantage.After reading the reviews before I wrote mine, I wish I would have read the reviews before I even went.Dread to think who else they have taken advantage of.Will not be returning
