My hairdresser is Joanna at Blacks and I have been coming here quite a few years. From the very first visit I was astounded by how much patience and explanation she went through with me before she would even contemplate colouring my hair from the cost of maintaining and my lifestyle being suitable for the picture I brought in. After really making sure of those facts and us both being on same page only then would she go ahead so to speak. The whole time I was there I was made extremely welcome and Joanna is a perfectionist in her work because I was told it would take a long time due to making sure my hair was treated with the utmost care which is of vital importance .The result was absolutely exactly how I wanted it . The whole time I was there was so warm welcoming and relaxing plus very comically entertaining too. I am well pleased ! Thank you so much lovely lady x

Called in with the wife ordered a large bacon mushrooms and tomato and a large bacon egg sausage and tomato. Covid rules applied have to say one of the best sandwiches ever lovely breadcake fresh cooked food with 2 lattes excellent will definitely call again thank you

Fab hairdresser and lovely lady.. It was my first ever visit to Joanna at Black's after being highly recommended by my mother. I am getting married very soon and I needed some sound genuine honest advice. Joanna sat me down and talked about how I visualized my hair and self for my wedding. Not being a hair person and certainly not someone who spends ages on my hair I needed something that was suitable. Joanna knew exactly what to say and do like magic and the result was absolutely a weight off my mind let alone my head and I was so very pleased. Joanna has lots of patience and is a perfectionist in her work and I couldn't thank her enough for her reassurance looking towards my wedding hair plan.

I have been having my hair looked after by Joanna for 37 years and it is always absolutely exactly how I like it. Joanna takes great care and time her time and is a perfectionist in her work. Not only that Joanna is also a very good listener as well as a very entertaining talker. Her door is always open and people like myself find it easy to call in if anything is on our minds and Joanna is there with a cup of tea and will do all she can to help, because I am one of those people that did just that at a troubled time in my life and Joanna told me that I may not see it now but this will come right and it did just that. Joanna is very uplifting and a very kind hearted person and its like an outing going to Black's where everyone is together and if you didn't know a person you sure did by the time you came out. Joanna is and has always been the same an excellent hairdresser and a very genuine lady who one thing for sure is never ever boring. Thank you Joanna X

Joanna has been cutting my hair for a long time (over 30 years), and does a great job with the scissors. Joanna also provides tea/coffee and biscuits, along with a chatty atmosphere at the salon.

I have known Joanna for many years as my hairdresser and a natural friendship formed from the word go. She is an excellent hairdresser and a very interesting person. She is very thoughtful and caring about others. A visit to Joanna is always surprising and absolutely never ever boring .Everybody gets a very warm welcome and the most delicious coffee. There is often lots of laughter in the salon and a happy atmosphere. It is very relaxing and de-stressing as there is beautiful classical music on in the background which when everything is combined together adds to a really nice visit.

I come to Blacks and have my hair cut by Joanna because I trust her explicitly with my long natural hair. Itâ??s always a friendly atmosphere and everyone is made welcome and thereâ??s no rush and people engage in lovely conversation and interests that everyone has . I live very nearby and have come here for years because I find Joanna a very genuine peopleâ??s person with a very uplifting personality who takes great interest in their welfare also. I do not think I could ever imagine going anywhere else as happy or as nice as Blacks .

I have been coming here to Joanna at her salon Blacks for several years now and I am made very welcome each time I come here as she always fits me in on Sundays which is very convenient for me as I fly all over the world with my job. My hair is cut exactly how I like it and I always have a large frothy latte coffee and as many biscuits as I wish. The salon is always full of good conversation and is a great atmosphere. Joanna is very entertaining at all times and great fun too and a very kind thoughtful lady .So keep up the good work and thank you for cutting my hair as you have done all these years .Mike

Known Joanna forever. I can't imagine anyone else ever doing my hair. I always come out feeling wonderful. It's not just hair dressing with Joanna it's therapy. The laughs and the conversation just as important as the hair cut. We have some full on belly laughs. Joanna always knows the right thing to say and cheers you up when you're feeling down. Such a kind lovely lady....very considerate and caring...I know her inside and out and the secret to Joanna when all hell breaks loose is a massive hug. A pleasure to know her.

What a lovely lady. I have been coming here for around 15 years. Always a pleasure to come in, fabulous atmosphere. She's always happy! Always plenty of laughs, coffee and biscuits ð??. Besides being a fabulous hairdresser Joanna is one of the most uplifting, honest, kind hearted, caring people i have ever known and i know plenty of people who will agree with me. This is why lots of people come to her for sure - this i do know!
