No cutlery on the table, no glasses which were bottomless. We had to get up and find our own. By the time we got our empty glasses we had eaten, third time that?s happened. Complaint was ignored, now travel to wakefield instead.

Was no knifes and forks on table so asked for some, brought us just forks because knife were in dish washer. Had to take one knife of table not in use and share it between 6 of us. No toilet paper in ladies toilets so had to drip dry if you know what I mean. No one came to ask if we were happy with everything or if we were finished and wanted any puddings.

Usually never had a problem here, but they are clearly experienced staff shortages. Came on a Saturday morning for breakfast and it is really busy, there is 1 person on the till so the queue is backing up out of the door, there are food items waiting to be put out so people are stood in the buffet queue not moving until these food items are out, not a good experience today and won?t be back in a hurry

Absolutely disgusting, have been before for a carvery with my wife and brother, was very disappointed then, but decided to give it another go via the Octopus all you can eat voucher (£4.99 unless you order coffee) learned that the hard way!
Breakfast was appalling, fossilised bacon, no eggs, no sausage, no cuts for my overpriced coffee, left in disgust, shame on you! Will never use you again, and turn everyone I can against you!

Food was cold potatoes where chilled no eggs available had to return several times when I asked I was told shortly when they did arrive I received over cooked fried eggs no scrambled as stated on the web site not where we informed before we where seated.

Went on a Sunday and really disappointed there was no choice re traditional meals. Carvery or carvery.
Staff were good tho. Got scrag end of beef. Couldn't believe the chef served the last fatty piece of beef.

Normally, I really enjoy my visits here, but yesterday I was asked to sit in the bar rather than the dining area and the experience was really spoiled by poor service. After getting my carvery meal, it took me a while to get some cutlery from behind the bar, and I was then asked to pay for my food and drink before I sat down to eat it. The payment took awhile so my dinner had cooled down quite a bit and halfway through it, the drink which was meant to be brought to my table had Been forgotten, so I went to ask for it again and the maître D took her time, even stopping filling it halfway through to chat to another member of staff. By the time I got back to my meal, it was cold.
I wouldn?t want to sit in the bar area again for that service

I like it here. It's quite expensive on Sundays but more affordable weekdays, you get lots of food and there is something for everyone who likes meat

The service was very poor. No one came to take our order, so we ordered at the bar. Starters arrived 45 minutes after our table booking time. We were there over 2 hours in total, with 2 children...... not ideal.

Came in on 27/2/25. Was seated and ordered AF Heineken. It took a further 15 minutes for someone to take my order. Ordered a turkey club and was asked if I wanted roast potatoes or salad. I said if the potatoes were crispy, I'd take them.
Food arrived on a filthy plate. The plate was replaced with another less filthy one. The bread was stale, and the potatoes were hard, not crispy, because they, too, were stale.
The manager offered to comp a carvery and was very friendly, but I had neither time nor inclination to eat there.
Sad that standards have fallen so low.

Does what it says on the tin at a reasonable price. Best to avoid later in the evening as the food can start to get a bit tired (not sure how somewhere that does breakfast the next day hasn't got sausage at 7pm in the evening)

Run out of turkey when we sat down with our plates he came out with another turkey. Had to wait 15 mins for drinks order to be taken. Restaurant was not busy either.

The meat was not as nice as I had hoped. The service was great. Friendly staff welcoming atmosphere.
