I just wanted to share how I felt after my recent visit. I came into the shop politely letting you know that I was just looking, without knowing that you were closing for good. I was hoping to try on some boots?not for a fitting, but to get a sense of what I might want when I?m able to make a purchase. At the moment, I?m in a difficult financial situation and genuinely couldn?t afford to buy a pair right away.
I brought my grandparents with me because I struggle with anxiety and often find it hard to do these things alone. I had already done my research and saw that your prices were really reasonable compared to other shops. My hope was that, once I was able to buy, I would return and support your business, as I?m just starting a new job as a ski instructor and need to upgrade my kit.
Even though I?m now teaching others to ski, I?m still learning a lot?especially about boots and skis?and was really hoping for a welcoming, helpful experience. Instead, when I said I was just looking, I was met with the words, ?I?m not wasting my time with you.? That was incredibly hurtful and made me feel small and dismissed.
I?m only 21, and while I may not have bought anything on the day, I truly didn?t mean any harm. I would have appreciated the chance to explain myself properly and maybe even build a relationship with a local shop I genuinely admired. Instead, I left feeling belittled and unwelcome.

What a brilliant shop providing excellent service. Such a shame (for customers) that the owners are retiring and closing down the shop - but congratulations to the owners for their planned retirement.

Just been to this shop for the first time to get ski stuff for my son?s school trip (Brighouse High) . The ladies who worked there were really helpful and gave us good advice. We are really pleased with the stuff we bought. Great prices too. Deffo recommend!

5*. I was buying hiking boots and wanted to try them on so didn?t want to buy online. After reading the many excellent reviews I decided to visit this place in a neighbouring town.
It was well worth the trip. Excellent customer service, a wide range of products and some sale bargains too. I was not rushed, staff were attentive and really knew their stuff. When I asked questions about the boots and how to care for them, I got thorough, considered answers. I had forgotten to wear hiking socks but luckily they had some you could pop over your socks to ensure you would get a true fit. Little touches like that make it a world away from chain stores and purchasing online. Would definitely return.

I've ordered a good few things from BAC Outdoor Leisure over the last ten+ years and highly recommend them. Free delivery too! It's a shame their products don't seem to appear in google shopping listings, so you have to go on the website itself and browse for a bargin.

I bought a pair of walking boots a few months ago and the trim on both boots started to ?lift? away. I went back to the shop to let the owners know. They took photos and contacted the company immediately. I literally walked out of the shop and received a phone call from them saying I would receive a brand new pair of boots. Amazing customer service is an understatement. I am a great believer in supporting local businesses and this scenario highlights how a business like BAC Outdoor Leisure Ltd deserves a fabulous review. Their excellent customer service starts in the actual shop from the minute you walk in and purchase goods but that service has clearly continued for me. A lovely family run business by friendly, genuine people who actually care about the service they offer and provide. Thankyou!!

Rude, aggressive no customer service skills!
Opening times not made clear at the point of hiring ski wear. Tried to return items twice, however, shop closed both Times
Unnecessary, aggressive attitude when informing me I would not receive my deposit.
Keep the £10 and invest in some customer service training.
