We have been regular visitors to the foresters since moving to the area mainly for a walk and a pint. Been a bit sceptical about trying the food basically thinking all the reviews couldn't be rating it so high. But after eating their today I can honestly say that is some food they are presenting. Staff excellent and friendly always making a fuss of our dog SiSi. Without a doubt some of the best food we have had since returning to the UK from France. Try it I'm sure you will enjoy the experience ?

New Years Day meal for a large group (we pre-booked). We had the choice of the Festive Menu or the main menu, with people choosing from both. All the food was fantastic in quality, presentation and taste. Despite it being very busy in both the restaurant and bar, the service was really really good throughout the meal and very accommodating to our requests. All our group commented on how much they enjoyed the day. Really couldn't have been a better experience.

We live locally and have eaten here many times in the past. Our visits have been due to last minute convenience and the food has been average at best. However we visited on 31st December and were very impressed indeed. Great food and service plus good drinks. What a huge improvement under new ownership. We highly recommend and will be returning very soon.

Three of us had dinner here on Christmas Eve and what a wonderful experience it has been. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the food was delicious. We ordered from the festive set menu which has been thoughtfully designed to please everyone. The presentation and taste of each and every dish were excellent. This was our first time at The Forresters Arms but definitely not the last as we can?t wait to revisit in the new year.

We have lived local to The Forresters for ten years and have always felt disappointed with our dining experiences here under all of the previous management/owners. We?ve read good reviews about the new manager/owner so dined here on Christmas Eve and our party of four were so impressed by the whole experience. Service - Excellent, Ambience - Lovely, Food - Outstanding. Had a good chat with the owner/manager and it so refreshing to hear about his passion to create an exceptional local dining experience. Already booked for a return visit on New Years Day ? Highly recommended and great job by all of the team at The Forresters ??

Delicious food and attentative staff. Well worth a visit. Decor well thought out and comfortable cosy atmosphere. Real fires which are always a welcome sight on a winters day.

Just had a family Christmas get together meal a group of 10 and the food , staff and atmosphere excellent what a lovely surprise . Had a lot of friends saying how good it is and they are not wrong thankyou we will be back.

Cheeky date night with the husband and we wanted somewhere local at short notice. We ordered from the festive menu and we both agreed that our meals were of good quality and very tasty.

First visit today. Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch. The food was freshly prepared and tasted absolutely first class. Would definitely recommend.

The restaurant has been refurbished tastefully. The food was nicely served and tasty and the staff were very pleasant. Reasonably priced and we will definitely be going again!

One again The Foresters delivers great service and a warm and enjoyable atmosphere filled with smiles and festive cheer! But ultimately, it's the food that makes The Foresters a stand out destination, genuinely amazing cuisine delivered every time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A new and worthy destination! 5 STARS!!!
