Tgi Castleford was always our go to spot, tonight waited 45 just to order drinks and that was only because I asked, was then told when wanting to order bottomless strips that this would delay the other main meal(never had this problem before) waited 30 minutes for food to come out, portions so small with only 10 pieces of chicken, the venue looks run down and tired.
White rose restaurant is so much better

COMPLETE GARBAGE , TGIs has literally hit the lowest abysmal quality i've seen.
Just been served a Smashed Burger, that was immediately returned, it looked like a kids burger , nothing with it, a few chips that were terrible and hard and a tiny burger. Can?t believe they can push that out with a straight face for £21 . TGIs now off the list for good, will never be returning. Beyond abysmal!
That?s a small plate it?s on too!
I swapped it for chicken strips so not to disrupt a birthday meal but they were equally as bad, just chewy and hard, the little bit of salad looked like it had been left on the floor for a week... I would have walked out if it hadn't been a family birthday, but seriously it was beyond poor. £125 and I was fuming. Never again.

Service was excellent, both our servers ( Jord/ Sharon)were really helpful and provided amazing service going above and beyond especially for a larger table. Special shout out to Sharon for doing such an amazing job on her first big table!

Friendly service and good activities for kids. Only minor criticism is that the restaurant could be a little warmer!

We went to the restaurant on a Saturday at 6pm. We waited 45 minutes for 2 waters and was told we couldn?t have the cokes we ordered as the foam wasn?t working. We then had to push back our karting time because of how late the food was.
At the point of the food being served we were told they had no wraps for the fajitas, they could offer only gluten free wraps (that?s ok). The sesame chicken came out first and it looked like it had been sat under the hot lamp, the salad was totally wilted and the chicken dry as a bone - any TGI sauce had dried into the chicken. At least 4 pieces were totally inedible they were that hard. I struggle to understand why a chef would think it?s acceptable to serve something so sub-standard. Then the burger came out, looked totally the opposite and my son enjoyed it. My daughters sweet potato fries however were stone cold. The fajitas came out, zero taste whatsoever and the wraps were hard and more like unbaked taco shells. I was still very hungry despite paying £55 for a below average meal.
This venue is very overpriced when you look at the quality of the food being served. The 2 waiters were very apologetic and trying their hardest to manage lots of upset customers. The manager came over and was again apologetic whilst remaining professional.
Having now looked at past reviews, this wasn?t a half term one off, this place needs a good shake up. The manager needs to hit the reset button, talk to staff, read reviews and find out why this place isn?t working like it should. Also don?t take on as many covers if you don?t have the staff or the food to deliver. I did appreciate the discount but came away unhappy for paying so much for something which did not cut it whatsoever.

This TGI Fridays is comfortable with good seating, although the lighting is a bit dim. The food is average, but the wait for the dishes was quite long. What stood out was the birthday celebration. A few staff members sang a fun and quick song, creating a great atmosphere for a birthday. It's a nice spot if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion!

Tried to ring this restaurant a total of 9 times over two days and all calls went unanswered, left a voice mail and no one got back to me. This was regarding the bottomless pancakes. Decided to go through with the booking and showed up to be told there were no pancakes left.

no highchair even though one was requested prior
no kids packs or crayons provided
weren't asked for drinks order, straight to food
food took over an hour after me asking where it was
it arrived dry and we saw piles of food sat under the lamps
a meal for someone was missing. we had to ask 3 times for it
no condiments
ALL meals were bad.
3 had to be re made and the others were not good
no-one checked in mid meal
the whole meal took 2 hours which is ridiculous
it was my birthday and it was absolutely ruined. The meals took SO long that the children were tired and we had no time left to go to the arcades. We missed out on my birthday cake. I was so upset at the bad service and meals that we didn't want to stay any longer for dessert
I honestly don't know what happened but it was diabolical and shambolic. We absolutely will never ever return to that location

Went here Saturday evening (table booked for 7pm), the service was incredibly slow from the very start at the bar despite it being quiet in the restaurant. We then waited 45mins for our starters to arrive and then another 45 mins for our main courses to arrive. The food was tasty but very expensive for what you got. Will certainly never be going there again.

Went to this TGI?s with my partner, when entering the place was completely empty with dirty tables everywhere, no bartenders, kitchen staff or floor staff to be seen. We assumed it was closed but upon looking at the opening times we confirmed it wasn?t. We waited for 5 mins before we saw someone in the kitchen who made direct eye contact and walked off without seating us. We waited an extra few minutes to see if she was just perhaps busy at the time but she never came out to seat us after seeing her another two times. Ended up walking out the front door before even getting to a table. Very disappointed.

Never again.
From walking in we were regretting the decision to eat here the smell was awful very greasy smell to the whole restaurant.
So our server seemed fab very chatty and friendly taking our drinks order.
They took 15-20 minutes to arrive.
Starters arrived and they also took some time we asked for cutlery to eat our starters we were told to bare with them whilst they went to search their words for some forks, knives weren?t a problem just forks. We also asked for a couple of side plates for our starters the server came back after 10 minutes and apologised as she had to find some clean ones!
Then the starter was pretty spicy I got the attention of a server and ordered more drinks but again 15-20 minutes later after chasing them the drinks arrived at this point there was less than 15 people including our party of four.
Our mains arrived and one of our party ordered something with their signature slaw? my word it was so dry and looked like it had been under the heat lamp for the whole of the day it was flagged up to the server and he said oh sorry yeah it does look bad I?ll go grab you some more? leaving the plate with the awful looking/tasting slaw! Brought a pan of slaw again not much better so we just cracked on there was no point to this at all!
Anyway the toilets wow just wow they were vile there was toilet roll literally all over the floor and most of the toilets were blocked! There some manky signs instructing people how to flush the toilet that were all tatty! Just disgusting.
I asked for the bill and then to speak to the manager who tried justifying the table not being set, lack of cutlery & crockery, staff taking time to bring drinks/food and the state of the presentation of the food by being under staffed?. I said why did they let us in as a walk in if they weren?t geared up for the footfall of 15 people in the restaurant. We got nearly half the price off our bill still a kick in throat of spending £75 a load of rubbish food and absolutely abysmal service in a scruffy restaurant. Unfortunately no pictures taken as we were just so dumbfounded by it all.
Will 100% not be returning.

Absolutely shocking! Got seated at a table with my partner and child, waited for a server to come take our order there were people getting served that had came in after us after 20 minutes we had to ask a server to take our order, then to wait another 25/30 minutes to get our drinks!! 2 hours went by before we got our food and when it came my pasta was warm. The worst experience I?ve ever had. Felt sorry for the waiter as he was rushed of his feet. I understand it?s busy and on a Saturday but there is no excuse to be waiting that long for food and drinks! At least with no pre warning of waiting times! Will not be returning. Terrible and poor.

Previously always loved TGI Fridays but last nights visit will definitely be my last. Freezing in there. Table was dirty on top and littered underneath. We had to ask for cutlery, napkins, salt and pepper and plates! Waitress had no knowledge of drinks. Took 45 minutes for drinks to come. A 2 hour wait for our main (the restaurant wasnt even half full) Food arrived with mistakes - ordered salad and got chips, additional sauces missed off, loaded fries instead of loaded skins. Food quality was terrible. There seems to be no one supervising anything. Lots of very young inexperienced staff. So sad to see what used to be a fabulous place to become this. Will not ever return.

Visited with the family just after Christmas. It was mid afternoon, not too busy. Our initial waitress was very nice and had a lot of time for us. The food was delivered by some kind of drongo who kind of threw the food at us. He could not have looked less interested. The food was ok and ate the burgers but for the price you would have expected a lot more
