Absolutely disgusting. Looked and tasted like it was cooked a week ago. Smelt off and looked stale. No word of a lie all £40 worth went in the bin and put me off Chinese food for life. Avoid this place it?s revolting.

Ordered 2 boxes tonight,,took 2 hours to arrive,phone was constantly engaged, and the portions in the boxes were dire,like a child's portion, barely any rice and not much crispy beef,,for £23 it won't be happening again

Stay away from Nanking Chinese Takeaway! They charged me for an order I never received and then denied me a refund. It's unacceptable to take money for something i never received. Extremely disappointed and will never order from them again.

Had a really good experience of the food here - picked up ourselves. Food was very tasty, particularly enjoyed the curry sauce and chow mein. Slightly too salty for me, but everyone else was ok. My only slight criticism was the salt and pepper chicken was a bit dry.

Since moving to Castleford, I've tried a bunch of Chinese takeaways in town, but none of them come close to Nanking. We've ordered from Nanking at least 8 times now using the Foodhub app, and every single dish has been great. Yeah, it might be a bit pricier than some other places, but you get what you pay for ? huge portions and often they even throw in some freebies like a bag of spring rolls and drinks (and of course, prawn crackers), which is a really nice touch. The salt & chilli chips are amazing ? they're super crispy, fresh, and packed with flavour. Plus, the portions are really generous. And the food always arrives quickly and piping hot. One tiny downside is that some dishes, like the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, don't come with any veggies. I know some people might actually like that because you just get loads of chicken and no filler, but I personally prefer having some onion, pepper or pineapple in there. Still, you can always choose to add 'extra veg' when you order, so it's not really a big deal. Another thing I really like about Nanking is the variety of noodles they offer, like crispy, dry, saucy and thick options ? you don't get that kind of choice in most takeaways. So, if you're in Castleford and looking for a top-notch Chinese takeaway, you've gotta try Nanking ? trust me, you won't be disappointed!
