My friend and I tried this place for the first time today.First impressions were good, a small local independent with a nice wholesome sounding menu. All positive so far... Until we had to engage with a member of staff, WOW.The ATTITUDE was so BAD, I thought this has to be a joke. One of those moments you think Jeremy Beadle (for those of you old enough to know!) is about to pop up at any moment and confirm indeed this is a prank! But, sadly no, the customer service really is that bad.I wanted to have their vegetarian breakfast but didn't want the halloumi and asked if I could have some toast instead. We were told in no uncertain terms we couldn't swap anything on the menu. I asked if I could purchase some toast in addition instead. Stoney faced she replied, "No". Confused, I said "so, you are saying you don't offer toast"? She replied with a straight "no, we don't offer toast". Even more confused I replied, "but on your menu you can purchase avocado on toast, so you do make toast"?! "Yes, she replied but you can only have this with avocado"... I mean come on!I don't need to explain the ridiculousness of this, any normal thinking person would agree this is crazy! Particularly in an independent café, that can do what they want how they want. My request was very straightforward.However what really did it for us was the stony faced, rude, robotic response from the waitress, it was off the scale bad. We just had to leave, quite frankly, they didn't deserve our hard earned money. As we walked away her face didn't flinch and she even had the audacity to say, "have a nice day"!. Seemingly completely unaware of the very awkward interaction that had just taken place. If I was the owner of this café and she was my member of staff I would be devastated. Business is super hard for everyone particularly small independents. Staff like that will cost them dearly. We will not return. Worse, this has resulted in giving a terrible review, something I would not do lightly.For those that do want to try this place out, avoid the girl with pink tinted hair, she is scary. Although by the sound of the reviews I have read post visit, the owner is to be feared too. Approach with caution.

Sadly on my first and probably last visit the till system was down when I arrived and despite having cash and the cafe taking cash the owner was unwilling to make a cup of coffee & was dead set on shutting. I had just fallen in the mud as well and said as much but he didn?t seem bothered. Seems like we both had a bad day. Shame as it looked like a nice place.After reading other reviews? the owner seems to have a bad attitude so it wasn?t just the day after all.

Fantastic independent coffee shop doing breakfast, brunch and bakes on weekdays.Staff are really friendly, interior warm and homely. Excellent selection of cakes and food on offer.Accidentally discovered Coffee Stop when getting my brakes changed at a nearby garage. Spent a happy hour or so with two Flat Whites, a breakfast burrito and a chocolate brownie.Freshly made, beautiful food, served with a smile. Look forward to returning again soon.
