Reading through the 1-star reviews I saw the same issues I?d faced. It?s really, really important that you do not trust this company with the care of a loved one. I can?t put it in more stark terms than that.This isn?t a restaurant that gave you food poisoning or a mechanic who overcharged you - this is a company you entrust to safely look after your loved ones when you?re unable to do it yourself, or need some help to bridge that gap between what you can offer and what the service user needs. The people managing this place ought to be ashamed of themselves. I can?t help but feel a little ashamed of myself for letting it go on for six days when by day three it was clear they weren?t interested in doing the caring part of caring.Bradford Council?s Adult Social Care department outsourced the care to Vision Care as the BEST team had no capacity. Six days later I?d cancelled this company and requested a new one, and the whole time they caused nothing but extra stress and work for me, a full-time live-in carer for my grandad. I won?t go into details of everything that went wrong but imagine on day one finding your loved one sat downstairs in the living room after a morning visit from Vision Care, wearing yesterday?s continence pad without a shirt on. Imagine your 6pm evening call came at 11:30pm and the carer was aggressive and defensive when you mention you?d expected them at around 6. Imagine her arguing with your loved one as they yelped out in pain, that they couldn?t be in pain because she was supporting them properly. Imagine the physiotherapy exercises that take you and the physio who prescribed them 25 minutes to go through somehow being done in less than 10. Imagine you cancel the evening calls because the times need to be sorted and being told they?d get back to you in a couple of days. You?re happy with that until a carer arrives that same evening. Imagine finding your loved one sat on the bed, not dressed, eating their breakfast because the carer has done nothing on the list other than change the continence pad. Imagine complaining to Vision Care regularly about all these things and more, and being told it will be sorted. Imagine after six days you?ve had enough, cancel all future visits with them over the phone, and with the council too, and then have one wake you up at 10:45pm that same night with another visit because presumably nobody at the office thought to tell them.There?s more of this too.It?s less about the times and the attitude and the poor training and the checklist being signed but not done and the mis-management, it?s more about your family member being left at their mercy.This is a long review but I hope you?re still reading. It?s more of a public service announcement.Don?t trust these people.I?ve just reported two of the 5-star reviews because they come from staff members. Once they?re deleted let?s see how the current 3.5 rating changes. Look at the other 5-star reviews and notice how many of them come from people who?ve only written one review on Google - and it?s a 5-star rave for these people. Please don't risk the safety and comfort and basic human dignity of your family member to this company.Because they?re on Bradford Council?s books as a company they use I?d expected the care would be decent. This wasn?t just sub-par, it was absolutely shocking. I?ll be lodging a formal complaint to the council and the CQC on monday, once I?ve gathered up all the facts to present to them. I?d be interested to see if the hours charged to social services tally with the actual time spent here.Two of the people who visited were very good, and I hope they soon move on to a company worthy of their talents.

I have had nothing but praises for Vision Care. Their staff are amazing and the quality of care is fantastic. Everytime we needed help they were very helpful and kind. It did not matter who we spoke to but everytime we felt important. I would highly recommend them. Just wanted to take the opportunity to Thank all the staff and a big well done for all the hard work that is put behind the long hours they work and the quality of care we were given x

It's such a shame to have to write a rubbish review however I believe this company deserves it. I should have written this 9 months ago after stopping the home care. 1 member of staff had stolen from the service user, had camera evidence, no action was taken against the member of staff because she is apparently a 'diabetic'. Theft is theft, I dont just nip into your house and take things regardless of medical history. Numbers of counts of neglect, service user left to fall in a number of carers presences. Some didn't even bother to follow reporting procedures or seem to know what they were doing. All on camera. Carers will say service user refused certain parts of their care when the care wasn't even offered, or they will say they've completed a task they have not. Office will just back their staff up rather than looking out for the service user. Avoid at all costs. Robust complaints procedure? Where? Very poorly trained in complaint handling, same with the care and attitude of certain staff. Staff putting reviews on here to boost your overall star rating, so you don't look so bad. If I was to run such a poor service I'd be embarrassed and ashamed. Unfortunately it's just 'business' for vision care. The owners say they come from a 'caring' background yet you employ the most careless and untrustworthy people going. I'm a fair person and I genuinely believe my review is very fair.

We had Visioncare Services for over 8 years being one of the first clients for the company for our mum.We previously had another care company who were done for abuse towards my mum and we were reluctant to take on another care company. We did and Visioncare came in with their services and we cannot recommend the Carers and company highly enough. My mum was taken care of everyday, 4 times a day by two Carer?s each time. Sadly my mum passed in August and the support we received as a family from the company was immense. They went above and beyond and treated my mum with dignity and respect. We can only say a big thank you to everyone who walked through our door from that company to make my mums days a little brighter.

I wouldn?t even give this rubbish company a 1. Staff are rude, don?t even look after the workers.They don?t listen to what anyone has to say as they think they?re right. They?re so defensive and have an answer back for everything. Instead of answering calls, they sit and gossip in the office acting like they don?t have a care in the world. They need to learn manners and start communicating with one another during that time.

I am so grateful to have selected Vision care services as a company to work for. The office team is amazing and provided me with exactly the type of support work that suits me around the hours that suit me and I feel very confident and comfortable working for them.They also provide comprehensive training, the rate of pay is good and I accrue holiday pay on the hours I work.They are always there for me when i need them and all the staff are friendly and easy to work with.

My mother receives care from vision care we have received a great service. The staff have always been very Helpful and have some amazing carers.Today my mother was taken I?ll the care staff and office staff went out of they way to ensure someone was with my mum at all time whilst I got there.To me that says a lot.Thank you

I am the director of this company, it?s extremely sad to see some negative comments when our sole intention is to provide a good service. We have a robust complaint policy which I recommend you use. We have worked very hard building this company. If individuals do not communicate they issues with us we can not rectify or work to improve these.It?s also good to see all the positive comments.

I am truly grateful for the support VCS has provided for the community. The staff?s vast amount of experience and emotional intelligence allows for service users to be treated with the upmost respect and decency. Their bespoke services not only allow service users assistance for their needs, they also promote independence, so that able service user can make informed decisions about their ongoing care needs and daily requirements. A care company that actually care! As a family we couldn?t have asked for a better company to look after our grandma before she passed away. She hated having carers, in any way shape or form but really bonded with the Carers from vision care. They were kind, considerate and even my grandad who loved a good complaint didn?t have a bad word to say. Thankyou so much vision care
