I used to rate this doctors but frankly who knows what system they are using this week. I can't get repeat meds I can't send them a message, as apparently they've disabled that function and I can never get through on the phones. Even worse their website still refers to mixed systems be it airmid, system online, and the apparent new one which I've no details for. Absolutely appalling service. A disgrace and no wonder the likes of A & E are flooded. I used to have sympathy for those that worked there but the rude, obnoxious and arrogant reception staff just won the race to this review. The other week I actually waited for 20 minutes until someone acknowledged I was standing by the window, and even in then they didn't actually ask if they could help. Just happened to be after I had complained, linked, absolutely. School kid games, yes. What do I pay my taxes for, to aide the mismanagement of this surgery clearly.

Myself and my family are new to the practice and I was having trouble setting up my online services, I have spoken to the lovely lady called Yasmin and she was so polite and professional. She has set up my services and offered further help if needed. An asset to the surgery, I hope practice management take notice of Yasmins efforts.

Cannot get an appointment here to see a doctor. Doesn't let me book online when the online service is fully functional and tells me to ring at 8am. I ring at 8am and sit on hold for over an hour to be told there is no appointments left ring tommorow this had been ongoing for over a week .

This is very poor service. I rang this morning for repeat prescription to be given an automated message to ring after 10am. I've tried ringing again around 2.30 pm to be given the same message. Their website shows that they are open until 6pm. I ended up ringing the pharmacy who confirmed that the surgery is closed and checked that they hadn't sent it down to the pharmacy. What kind of service is this? I think I'll transfer my future prescriptions to Tescos.

The WORST doctors surgery I have ever been to in all my adult life. They have an appointment system which is not fit for purpose. It is impossible to get an appointment via phone or via patchs, even if you login or call the second they open. They encourage everybody to attend in person at 8am to queue for an appointment. What kind of irresponsible system is this, asking sick people to all attend at once and queue to speak to a receptionist. This needs to stop and the system needs to be changed. You are going to prevent people getting medical help when they need it. I have made a complaint and will be taking this to my MP.

Appalling. 2 days trying to get through & cannot. About time it was taken out of NHS, obviously they cannot do their job(s).The NHS is gone. What do they actually do there.? The NHS needs selling off.
The medical centre offers nothing. Staff just picking up wages.

Absolutely appalling service. My dad who us 83 has been trying to get an appt for 4 days. He managed to get down today, only to be turned away and told ge needed to queue at 8am tomorrow. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Appalling treatment Thornton

Despite the difficulties all GP practices are experiencing due to inadequate staffing levels my experience has been that Thornton Medical Practice does as well as it can under the circumstances. Yes, it can be difficult getting through on the phone sometimes, but this is due to the high volume of calls the practice receives daily. It's not fair to suggest that staff are anything less than 100% commited to providing a good service under extremely testing and under resourced conditions.

Called this morning and after stating my name and reason for calling, they said they will look into my issue and call back. I received no call back. I just called back to which they had no record of me ever previously calling. The woman I just spoke to clearly wanted to do anything else but help me. After confirming where my prescription was she hung up abruptly. I could barely fit in to say thank you. Awful service. I understand if you don't like your job but please show 1% enthusiasm as you are helping people in need.
