I was assaulted by a member of staff in this store in 2022. Yes, it was as weird and unreasonable of a scenario as it sounds. No, there was no justifiable explanation for the incident. In-store staff did not handle the situation well or properly. Sports Direct were slow and laborious in reporting any outcome to the situation, as a whole.
In hindsight: I should have consulted the police.
Shop elsewhere or order online.

This store is my go-to for affordable outdoor gear and clothing. It's definitely a budget-friendly alternative to Trespass. I've gotten great fleece jackets, site pants, and even all my son's school sneakers here. They have a good selection of popular athletic brands, making it a one-stop shop for active families. Plus, they have regular sales throughout the year, like seasonal and clearance events, which helps to stretch the budget.
The cashiers are always friendly and helpful, but finding staff in the shoe section can be a challenge. Sometimes they seem a bit rushed, but overall, the convenience and value outweigh that minor drawback. I can usually find good deals on quality items.
Overall, this store offers fantastic value for the price, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for affordable outdoor and sporting goods.

Decent place, clean and tidy. Staff seem to be fine but can do more to engage with customers. Not once was I asked, "is everything okay". They could have gone the extra mile.
But that's not the reason why I have given a 2*. The main reason for this is because once purchased, there doesn't seem to be any plastic carrying bags. They usually sell you the one that is for £1.50 and you pretty much got no choice but to purchase it or walk out with your shopping in your hands and arms!
Not the first time it's happened, hence why the frustration.
