Bradford Broadway poundland ?cultural city? my foot ?, the government are trying to turn it into cultural city where the workers of Poundland are degrading Asian and being racist take a look at there reviews of how the treat Asian people, I attended today Poundland like I usually do couple of times in a month me and my kids 10 and a 14 year old picked up the usual bits and bobs and lighters for my my cooker which uses a lighter for lighting ( bought several times from this store before lighter pack ) when we get to the till I put the basket down to scan and my son loves scanning items at check out like nearly half of the kids in England do , starts scanning my items I?ve got all the shopping in my hand and I?ve just put it down and am processing which card I?m paying with in my mind and about to take over some of scanning, SHE THE WORKER has her EYES ? plasted to us and says ? he can?t scan that lighter ur suppose to scan it ? BARE IN MIND THIS IS MY SHOPPING I WILL BE PAYING NOT MY KID SO THE ITEMS ARE MINE if that was a rule it?s the first I?ve heard of it I said ok sorry and scan the rest of my shop my sons upset thinking he?s done something wrong, meanwhile she goes to chat to another ENGLISH WORKER and starts whisper talking and when I?m checking out says show me Id for 25 age restriction, I don?t drive so don?t have driving Id, passport who in hell carry?s around a passport unless ur on the run from police, I have picture of my passport in phone she says no , I have the NHS app that has all my id date of birth to address she says NO, NOW LETS TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION SHE WAS FINE TO SELL IT TO ME BEFORE MY SON SCAN IT, Now for the maths lesson if I have 2 kids ONE AGED 14+ and I?m less the 25 in age as u are making it out to be so I would have had to been 10-11years old when MY 14 YEAR OLD WAS BORN , Ha I WONDER WHICH IDOTS HIRED THEM THEY CANT DO SIMPLE MATHS IVE BEEN READING IN NEWS POUNDLANDS MAY BE CLOSING DOWN WELL NOW WE KNW ITS BECAUSE THEY HIRE SOME PEOPLE WHO CANT DO MATHS ARE RACIST T0 ASIAN AND DONT KNW HOW TO TALK TO THE COSTUMER NO WOUNDER They?ve HAD PROFET LOSE THERE WORKERS ARE HELPING THEM LOSE

Staff is very rude, I was buying restricted items and I had my ID with me but wanted my older sister to pay so Gabby said this isn?t allowed and sent her out of the store and rudely snatched the items off us, I then spoke to the manager Kevin and he said if my sister shows her picture of her ID they will allow her to buy the items as they weren?t allowing me to buy my own items anymore for some reason. When my sister went back in the store, The manager Kevin was Scared of his employee Gabby and changed his words in-front of her because she was sticking to her own rules and telling her manager off, in the end they got their way and didn?t allow us to buy the items even after manager agreed just before and he just walked away when his employee was going against his words and gave In to her. I?m not sure why this GABBY had more control over the manager as though she was the store manager instead. Staff shouldn?t allow personal relationships to affect work. The eyes GABBY was giving KEVIN were very obvious to me giving that relationship not being an employer-employee one.

Staff was quite rude. I admit it was my fault I mistakenly had gone to a card till instead if the cash. The employee with short hair and glassed was quite rude and threw my products to the side after scanning them. When dealing with rude interactions it makes me questions whether there was rascism involved as I'm asian

This took place On 23rd December 2024 at approximately 15:40 at the poundland store inside Broadway Bradford.
A worker approached my husband at self checkout and refused to sell a de-icer spray to him because our child aged 5 was holding my husbands card all while my husband was supervising him. My husband said ?he wont pay for it, I will tap the card myself? she continued to refuse to let him have the product just because she saw my son holding the card. Her tone of voice and her body language was unnecassary. She claimed to be following protocol. She was NOT wearing a name badge, I asked her to give me her name which she seemed reluctant to do. She then went and called the manager named Jacob, he then after hearing what had happened without an issue allowed us to purchase the item. I asked the manager named Jacob to give me the workers name, he asked why, I replied because I'm going to complain. He said oh she was just following protocol? I said I have the right to complain and I'd like her name. After a few times of asking he gave me a name ?Gabrielle?. So now after all that humiliation he sold us the de-icer but over charged us. We had to go back and challenge that and after alot of reluctance he accepted the mistake and apologised. So me my husband and my child were exposed to this disgusting treatment from your staff and would like a written apology and perhaps request that hire staff who know what they are doing before picking on innocent customers unnecassarily.

I?m disgusted at one of the workers in store. My girlfriend had gone in to find some sweets because she felt like she was going to pass/black out and thought it was her blood sugars, She had approached the worker and told him she felt like she was going to pass out and if he could help, he completely blanked her and walked away to help someone at the self checkouts. It wasn?t that he didn?t hear or see her because he was looking at her while she spoke. It was completely out of order.
