Good store .. but service customer service is poor get angry when you want to pay with cash huff and puff that they have to serve you .. very off putting and take a long time whilst serving you .. one one till open to serve people as well resulting in queues ...

Buying at Matalan became nightmare since they're pushing their rewards card on you. You can't use any card only self service tills without that card, and so you waste time in huge queues for normal tills where they ask if you have one, and if you say no, they're still trying to get your name and address etc to push it on you. Awful.

Really bad customer service from the workers and the management can?t keep the retail environment clean I was in disbelief when I walked in and saw the rat traps, how as a retail work space this unkept, usually it?s expected to see this at places associated with food but this is a clothing shop.
I could hear their mice or rats running through the place ????

Staff try to force you to register for a Matalan card for Marketing purposes, you get shunned if you refuse. After finally being able to purchase my shoes, I got home only to find they were the wrong size, despite all the stickers etc stating the size I needed. Poor.
