Needed 2 rear tyres as tread running low, drive to Kwik fit in Birstall and told the chap on reception my tyre size. Didn?t stock them but could order them if for fitting late afternoon. MAGIC I thought.
Got back to the garage at 3.20 where my keys were taken from me.
The disappointment of having to wait 55 mins for 2 tyres fitting??? The poor guy doing the tyres had trouble getting the old tyres off the rims (low profile tyres) and had trouble getting the new tyres onto the rims.
He was obviously new to the job and should have had supervision until his confidence was built through hands on experience.
It left me feeling uneasy driving away fearing the tyres are not fitted properly. One tyre does seem to me leaking air as I have had to put air in it so will be taking it to another tyre shop to have it checked.
Disappointing when spending £300 and going to a supposedly nationally trusted named brand.
I must say the demeanour of the staff wasn?t anything to rave about, they looked disinterested and unmotivated. Not a smile cracked between the 3 members of staff I interacted with. Shame as a previous visit was positive after a flat tyre.
Will stick to Birstall Tyres further up the road after this experience. Sorry!

Took my car for an MoT last week. Fantastic, polite, friendly people and honest working practices.

Kwik Fit Birstall were heroes!
I had a school trip with 23 7 year olds who have been waiting along time for their yearly trip.
Sadly we had a small screw in our minibus tyre. Dan was accommodating and left his current task to quickly change the tyre so the trip could go ahead. On top of this Dan and his team gifted the children with reflector keyrings to keep them safe on the road and there was no charge. We are beyond proud of the community support as a local garage to the school. Thank you for your kindness.

Why bother having a booking system for wheel tracking diagnosis if you're not going to honour it? Extremely patronising man on the counter, talking to me like I was a child, not someone who's been driving vans for 40 years. I went to a local company who correctly diagnosed the tracking issue and fixed it straight away.

I took my car to this branch as it had a lot of issues, from start to finish the customer service I received was absolutely on point. Nam dealt with me the whole time and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was treated fairly he explained everything step by step to me to make sure that I was satisfied before any work was completed on my car. I can?t thank Nam and his team enough. I will see you again in a few months for my MOT and will continue to use Kwikfit birstall now I know how exceptional the customer service is.
