“Visited the Birstall store unsure of what carpets I wanted. Bernard was very friendly and helpful he explained the deals that were on offer for the weekend and gave lots of info on the carpets. We returned a couple of days later to purchase and was served again by Bernard and Danielle who were both extremely helpful and great people!”

“This was the first occasion I had been to a Bensons' shop. I was greeted warmly by Mohammed who showed an enthusiasm to help and I felt very at ease dealing with him.I was looking only for mattresses for two spare beds (after a house fire had led to most of my chattels being deemed unrestorable). Mohammed understood the situation and, while ensuring that I understood the different options and styles available, did not attempt to put pressure on me to purchase something which would have been more expensive, but would not have 'fitted the bill'.I believe this was Mohammed's first sale. He was courteous, polite and helpful and spoke with myself and my partner with clarity and respect. Unfortunately, the more experienced member of staff, whose help was required to deal with the paperwork on the purchase, spoke to Mohammed in front of my partner and me in a way which was not very helpful. It would hardly be the 'new boy's' fault if he was not set up on your computer system, but the other member of staff appeared to think it was an arduous and unnecessary chore to have to do this to process the purchase of two mattresses.Overall, I was very pleased with the way that Mohammed showed us the different mattresses, discussed what we wanted (and put our requirements first) and explained the options for delivery.Mohammed was cheerful throughout. He's a chap who will do well and who represents Bensons extremely well!”

He took us through all of the details about the sofa, finance options, delivery times and process of purchasing despite knowing we were going to be buying from a branch more local to us.”

“As it turns out, I arrived just as they started serving breakfast and there was already a queue of regulars there. There was a range of foods on offer including fresh bread rolls and cakes in addition to the breakfast fare. You can mix and match what you want by the looks, but I went for the veggie breakfast with toast, fruit juice and coffee as extras. Its refillable coffee and the food was decent for the price. The mushrooms seem to be boiled rather than fried. It is tempting to go get a tiramisu as breakfast pudding.”
