Been coming here for years and could probably count on one hand the times I?ve pulled a trolly that wasn?t damaged. It?s ridiculous. All the money they make, could at least maintain the trolleys.

Tesco Batley has improved so much over the last 18 months or so, the customer service is friendly and the staff are helpful. Today Connor assisted me with a basket check and he went above and beyond to provide not just just service but exceptional service. He was friendly, engaging, polite with a smattering of cheeky and an excellent communicator all whilst continuing to do his job. Made my experience a pleasurable one.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I went to this store to buy 2 red bulls for myself and my sister ( who wasn?t with me ) I?m 20 and I was with my 2 cousins both 14. I went to self service and I had to show id to purchase which I was aware of. A staff member with skunk looking hair came over and said he needs to see id for my younger cousins too but I had explained the red bull wasn?t for them. It was for myself. He said I couldn?t purchase unless he could see id for them both, I was really annoyed at this point as I?ve bought at another Tesco with a younger relative and they have never asked to see id for both of us. Whether it was just because we were 3 Asians dont know but seems like it as there was a white man and a child about 12 and he never got questioned for buying a red-bull or even asked for both ids? Staff at this store are rude and rather than doing their jobs they stand their gossiping about customers. Will not be coming here again.

The few regular drivers who deliver my shopping are always so pleasant! Always chatty and stack the boxes so I don't have to keep bending over to pick stuff up, only a small thing but I really appreciate their efforts :)

An enormous Tesco with a very large clothing range concession on the mezzanine upstairs. Very large click and collect facility, car park and petrol station. Everything on a large scale at Batley Tesco!

Old cafe was nice and friendly. New one is awful. Hard to order. Near impossible to customise as screen keeps freezing. Double waiting time for food and drinks. Not the fault of the staff at all. They're doing their best but the system is useless. Today was my first and last visit

Tesco has opened its terrible cafe/restaurant who serves a £2.50 seasoned chips but look at the portion 18 tiny slices of potatoes, appears pale seasoned doesn?t it? Zero presentation omg. I complained to the chef over the counter and he said it was seasoned. But for the second time around I had to ask one of the lovely waitress asking her opinion as to why seasoned potatoes were looks pale and tasteless? The waitress agreed that the chips were ordinary and took the portion back to the counter to be replaced. We?ve got seasoned chips (20pcs) in the end lol thank you for the waitress who listened my complaint.
I wont recommend this place, I will go somewhere else instead.

I recently visited Tesco and had an excellent experience thanks to one of the staff members, Marie. She went above and beyond to assist me during my shopping trip. I was having trouble locating a few items, and Marie not only guided me to the right aisles but also took the time to ensure I found everything I needed. Her friendly demeanor, patience, and genuine willingness to help made my visit so much easier and enjoyable. It?s rare to find such outstanding customer service, and Marie is a true asset to the Tesco team. Thank you, Marie, for your kindness and professionalism!
