Beware: Curry's don't accept responsibility or value customers
I spilt coffee on our lounge carpet.
I accessed Curry's website chat and, after an assurance that it would be ready for collection at Curry's Birstall store by 15:00, I paid £150 for a Vax carpet cleaner. Unfortunately, the online CSR had lied.
Arrived at the Birstall store at 17:00 with Curry's purchase email containing the order number.
Informed there was no sign of our purchase on Curry's systems and there might not be a model in stock.
A very rude customer-facing CSR, named Sanaa, told us that, as Curry's had lost our original purchase, WE must pay Curry's AGAIN for another carpet cleaner, and I would receive a refund for my original payment to Curry's in 7-10 days. We did not want to pay twice and receive one product, and asked Sanaa whether Curry's was accepting responsibility for THEIR mistake - It wasn't reasonable for a Curry's customer to pay twice for one product because the business made a mistake. By now, it was 17:35, the coffee stain on our carpet was drying, and we had no choice but to pay Curry's a 2nd time before they would let us have the product.
Sanaa phoned a shop-floor assistant to carry a carpet cleaner to the support desk but didn't mention the model. My wife kindly reminded her of the model we had purchased but, rather than a thank you, she received Sanaa's curt reply, "This is a private conversation"! This was especially rude and unwarranted considering that it was a conversation that everyone could hear and one that was directly related to our purchase. It felt disrespectful.
Overall, we found Curry's disloyal to their customers, and purchasing goods from them an embarrassment.
In an age where customer retention is key, Curry's did not care or give a reason for us to buy from them again. We recommend that you avoid them if you can, and buy from a company that values and respects customers.

On the 06/01/2025 I brought my computer in into the store and asked if they could have a look at it as it needs a possible new SSD.
A Asian man with a coat on and not showing his work uniform, said to me we have a technical in today and he can check it to see if it needs sending off.
I waited in the store for 1 hour with a 6 month old. He did NOT test it and he said to me he will just send it off for testing.
This store and there customer service is terrible. I have spent thousands of point at this store yet I get treated like a Muppet.
Perhaps, train you staff on manners and time management.
I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Good free parking facilities. Large store with good variety on offer. Staff are helpful and attentive. Currys happy to price match so do your homework prior to haggling. Would recommend.

Can honestly say that the service in this place is diabolical.
Big shout out to Harvey however, really went the extra mile today to help my partner who was having issues with her phone. Even let my daughter use the toilet because we had been waiting so long for service in the phone department ?

Interesting experience with a ? dedicated sales person ? placed for Shark merchandise? I wanted to buy a vaccum , the guy started off as a friendly salesman , with some delays in decision making ? he said he doesn?t care if we buy or not and walked away ?finally bought from Amazon , same price !

I visited the Birstall branch a few weeks ago in the the afternoon and received terrible customer service when enquiring about a fridge. I felt rushed by staff and the staff were not helpful at all when asking about a fridge with a particular dimension (fridges between 170-177cm). They said to look on the fridges for the dimensions or look online. What kind of customer service is this!! They could have done a quick search for me to point me in the right direction. What is the point of having a store if you are going to direct me to look online and not even help me to narrow down my search.
Today I visited the Crown Point Branch, 15 mins before closing time and the sales person (Jack) was so helpful and patient. I never felt rushed even though they were about to close. All my questions were answered and I was given some helpful information to narrow down my search. This person has restored my faith in Curry's.
Any management reading this review, please take note - some of your staff at the Birstall branch need a refresher course on customer service. Very disappointing visit. Will definitely not be visiting here again.
