We have been to the Joyful Deli a number of times, normally on our regular walks from Ilkley, but wow, what a surprise today; instead of sitting outside we were shown into a lovely, atmospheric barn. The staff were all very welcoming, the food and drinks fantastic and the hot water bottles a nice touch, providing welcome relief having walked a number of miles over Langbar Moor. I felt a little under-dressed in shorts and hike boots but no-one bothered and although I didn?t have my dog with me this time, they are welcome. Thank you Jilly and your team, we shall be back!

What a gem of a place . Fab food , fab menu great staff .Being a deli loads of fresh produce home made baking and cake like treats on offer mmmmmIt?s a barn it can be cold but with the log fires the blankets, hot water bottles all there if you do feel the cold makes this place fabulous . Can?t recommend this place any higher than get yourselves there and try it ?

We bought some ground coffee from here, the lady was very kind and knowledgeable even letting us sample some before purchase which is very uncommon but highly important. Unfortunately the lady mistakenly picked out a bag not suitable for an Espresso machine (the other bag was fine) we had opened this bag without realising. The lady very generously replaced this bag for us free of charge. I would consider the Lonton coffee to be competing with some of the best.

Couldnt fault food. Had Ham Terrine and Broccoli and 3 cheese soup with cheese toastie. Delicious. Tea could have been hotter. Good location. Will go again soon with family.

What a lovely wee place. Lovely atmosphere in an old barn with the beams and roof coverings still in place. Blankets and hot water bottles available if you?re a bit chilly although the wood burner keeps things toasty warm. Food was delicious. All seems to be home cooked/baked and truly one of the nicest quiches I?ve ever tasted. Staff were lovely and friendly and they even sell fresh bread, fruit, veg (locally grown!!) and different alcohol (wines, beers etc!). I?ve seen a few negative comments on price and while it?s not your Costa/Nero prices (although not far off!), for quality, home made food in an independent place with loads of charm it?s 100% worth what you pay. Will definitely be going back!!

Good but expensive food, lots of seating outside and inside a large barn. But it's cold even inside, they do their best with rugs and even hot water bottles but they really need a couple of space heaters. That said it is a good atmosphere and eys are welcomed. Wrap up well and call in for a coffee at least.Parking: It's a narrowish country road, but there's plenty of room as long as everybody parks on the same side!

Amazing place - so glad to have visited - lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommend- will be back! The olive and anchovy pizza is hands down THE best pizza I have ever had.

Lovely atmosphere nice friendly staff. Good select of food to eat and to take away using local produce. Will call again and tell friends to visit too.

Loved this place, we went to eat in the barn and had booked a table as its only small and gets busy. It's so cosy in there, hot water bottles and plenty of blankets if it's too cold. The food was lovely and I could have stayed for hours! Dog friendly too which is a bonus.
