Man behind the counter was rude, unhelpful and wouldn?t help me - tried to prove me wrong in front of a queue. I have a hidden disability and felt he was intimidating. He refused to help me with my driving license. However, the 2 female staff members that did help were fantastic.

Varied selection of books, cards, games and other items. Newspapers are also available. There is also a Post Office counter inside.

The woman on the checkout could definitely work on her customer service and manners, snappy, sarcastic, unhelpful, rude. Why buy from a store where you have to queue, pay to park, and made to feel like a complete inconvenience when you can buy online?!

Very good shop in Worthing. I mostly like it as there's a big book department with lots of older books stocks. Quite unusual for a WHS branch as they usually these days tend to have only core stock up to date. Good sales books too here. Best section I found is maps and guidebooks. Very close to main bus stop area, short walk from the pier and sea front. Good helpful staff here.

Nothing against WH Smith directly, but the post office side of things is terrible. This place took over when the sorting office post office closed. They have counters for 4 staff members, but usually just have one counter open. The queues and waiting time is chronic, and it's a real backward step. Not good.

Went to post office within store. Shirley was totally excellent. Wonderful customer service. Good all round experience. She was very efficient, personable and friendly.

Been into store twice for passport renewal and they said they MIGHT open it later.. Not good enough.!You either provide the services advertised (which is down to the mood of your staff on the day apparently).As holiday dates cost money to put back.. As getting a British passport is now down to whether I'm an immigration seeker, and not native English.
