“Visited the store on Saturday, to look for a new mattress- i had ordered online elsewhere, but due to being in hospital long term I hadn't tested the matress, and turned out i hated it, we explained this, and the shop assistant in dreams(can't remember her name, but she was great) suggested I try the sleep analysis matress test to find which mattress best suits me... I was then shown a selection of mattresses that matched my requirements, and was given time without pressure to test and try these out.. I didnt make my purchase in store as needed to arrange returning my new mattress from a different retailer back, but was able to sort this , so have ordered online one of the mattresses i tried in store.
Really appreicated the calm environment,and the no pressure sale but still felt like a valued potentially customer.
For me as an autistic adult and at the time I had limited mobility, the thought of trying out mattresses was filling me with pure dread, but based on this positive experience I won't hesitate in the future to return to this store, and i am eagerly awaiting the delivery of my new dreams matress.”

“Everything you could need to decorate, staff are very pleasant and helpful, only down side can be a little bit expensive, but everything is now but it is the right place for paint and there open Saturday”

“What excellent service from Barkers. I highly recommend them for anyone wanting electrical products. After our 7 year AEG fridge freezer finally gave up (it had numerous engineers called out over its short life - a really rubbish product) we had to find a replacement which would fit in the space in our fitted kitchen. We wanted to use a local company and so went to Barkers. The in shop service was great as we explained the situation and the space size, with Zak searching through so much information to give us a choice of what fridges could replace the AEG. We settled on a Samsung after reading the reviews, plus feedback from friends who had fridges from Samsung still going strong after 10 years. Barkers were so diligent they sent an engineer out to measure the space again to make sure our chosen fridge freezer would fit in the space. Wonderful service.”
