When I lived in the UK (ie the first 30 years of my life) I always preferred Boots to Superdrug or Savers. Now? Meh. Seriously meh. This branch of Boots used to have the baby food and accessories at the back of the store but I think perhaps they moved it because people were thieving items and going out the back door. The baby section is now upstairs, access to the upstairs is via an escalator, stairs or an elevator/lift which allows a maximum of 2 pushchairs/strollers at a push (ie they have to go sideways in) at one time. There is a large selection of baby items available and some of it is at a very reasonable price. If you have a Boots Advantage card and sign up to the parents club you do get 10 points for every 1 pound spend which is great as the points convert to money off future purchases. I have found a few items reduced/on sale which have been bargainous. So why the low rating. Well firstly the lift/elevator being so small. Secondly on one occasion I visited and said lift/elevator was out of order. Another reason being that I wanted to have a makeover at the Benefit counter and was basically told there was no space as they were fully booked, yet the person who was meant to be there hadn't arrived and was already 5 minutes late! Surely in that situation if there is someone who is likely to be spending money (rather than just getting their makeup done for a prom) they should fit someone in rather than standing around like a lemon.

staff are always friendly and helpful. always go to boots as collect advantage points and save for xmas goodies. can spend points in store or online but love going in to see offers and try something new. opticians visited recently, upstairs, free eye test with advantage boots voucher.friendly optician, great news as only reading glasses needed. always buy water filters, make up, nivea wipes, razors, body lotion and some slimming products. sometimes shop around first for bargains and check with another drugstore for price comparison but normally boots win for price and service. never too long to wait at tills. good choice of branded cosmetics, perfumes and medecines. used photo store too and always at pharmacy for advice.
