We had the vegetarian Sunday roast it was delicious! They did a veggie wellington with all the trimmings, which were very good. Probably the best cauliflower cheeses we've had! It can be hard to find good veggie roasts at pubs so this place is great for that, plenty of other options on the menu for non-veggies too! The chef was called Curtis and came and spoke to us after the meal. He was really nice and friendly, and had a great sense of humour, not to mention he can cook! The rest of the staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Nice pub, good food, better people. Well be back!

Four of us came into the pub for lunch a few weeks ago on a Friday, as we were viewing a property nearby. The homemade pies were the best we have ever eaten. Fish was so fresh and tasty and the double stacked burger with homemade coleslaw was amazing. Really competitive pricing and we met the most welcoming staff running the pub. Thank you ?
We look forward to becoming regulars when we move nearby next month!

Ending of COVID lockdown 3.0 with an impromptu stop here, managed to get a table, good service, will be back ASAP!
22.6.25. Biggest triple roast I've seen in a while. Cider is Inches. Service excellent. Premises looking good as ever.

A beautiful period pub with oak beams set in a lovely rural village of West Chiltington West Sussex.
Serving good quality tasty pub food,? and ample portions for a fair price, either in the restaurant or bar.
Good parking at the rear of the pub.
Staff are attentive and engaging ?
A bonus is that Dogs are welcome in the bar area.
Worth a trip out?

Came to visit the area and wanted to find a local place for our evening meal, we came across this place and decided to check it out.
Staff were extremely friendly and the waitress we had was very nice and helpful. The chef came to talk to us aswell and was very friendly. My partner went for the burger and I went for the special that day which was the ribs. The food was absolutely incredible?
Overall i highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!!

Fantastic Sunday roast!
Credit to all the team at The Queens Head for a fantastic experience and lunch. The meat was cooked to perfection and the cauliflower cheese and gravy is something else ?
Well done! We will certainly be back.

Called in on way to our accommodation.
Was met by Mark the bar manager.
Nothing was to much trouble and the food was great, so good we went back the next day for Sunday roast.
The roast was amazing, gravy is something out of this world.
We have been in a few times while here and not been disappointed.
The locals are very friendly and make you feel like you have been drinking there forever.
Highly recommend.

Very disappointed on returning to newly reopened pub.
Lost its character, no longer has a welcoming feeling and visual changes are detrimental to what made it a lovely place to visit.

We had Sunday Lunch here today. There is a new chef here as of a few weeks ago so I thought we would try it out. The roast beef was tender and absolutely delicious. My wife had the nut roast which she very much enjoyed. Great portion size and good value. Highly recommended.

Newly opened under new management. Still finding their feet. Could have done with more heating as it was cold in the restaurant. No wheelchair ramp!! Rather embarrassing for the person in the wheelchair having to be carried over steps. I wish them well, but doubt we'll frequent this establishment again. In their defense, my salmon was delicious - we'll done chef!

I took my partner and my two children (1 year old & 7 year old) for a Sunday roast for my partners birthday yesterday. We were extremely disappointed with the food, very much like school dinners, no flavour at all. That goes for both the roast and pudding. Very expensive for a school dinner type meal. We will not be eating back there again. It?s such a shame as it is our local pub.
Also there was only one high chair, which the strap was broken so I couldn?t strap my wriggly one year old in.
Pros: Good service ( was quiet so should be good)
Nice atmosphere and they have done the inside lovely.
We will be returning back for drinks only.

Guy who runs it was very friendly. Was down few days whilst I was waiting for a flat to complete, good food, great staff but also the kind of pub that still has a dart board and pool table. Dying breed of pub in the uk and it?s a shame because it was great and would happily come back again .
