Absolutely stunning grounds, vineyard and winemaking facilities. We were shown around by people who are clearly very passionate about what they do!

Unfortunately these people use agency workers to help with harvest. That agency then doesn't pay it's employees.
Just remember that £400+ bottle of wine was made with labour that wasn't paid for.
Now legal action being taken against the agency to recover those costs.
Although not directly Nyetimber's doing but they are the ones who go to the agency. Does Nyetimber know this is happening with the agency Pertemp?

Not an official review but I wanted to say a massive thankyou to the Nyetimber staff for taking good care of my disabled mother during her visit and tour of the vineyard on 18 Aug 2024.
She had a wonderful time.

Greatly exceeding expectations by providing really deep knowledge and insights into how the vineyards came to be, and how they've been developed to create excellent sparkling wines. Totally recommended. I hear the last tour of the day is more relaxed

An absolutely stunning place. Not a leaf out of place. We went for a fizz tasting experience and the operation was so slick from the moment they welcomed us to the moment we left. The team was so informative about the growing process and, of course, the production process, both as we walked through the vines and during the tasting itself in the restored medieval hall. Amazing fizz! We tried the Cuvée (my fav), Blanc de Blancs, Rosé and the Demi-Sec. Amazing facilities. Lovely people. Beautiful place. We loved it.

We went to visit with my WSET colleagues. The place is beautiful. The vineyards, the views. All. We walked around and they explained the entire process to us.
We tried 4 sparkling wines during lunch (cuvee, Blanc de blancs, rosé and the demi-sec) and then a vertical of the Blanc de blancs 2016-2013-2010 plus a talk from several members of the team, from the person responsible for the vineyard, positioning of the brand and the senior winemaker. Everyone was very friendly and the talks were very useful.

Really amazing that an English vineyard is producing wine like this. Unfortunate that buying direct means you are paying way more than if you buy it from a supermarket. How is it a good idea to penalise people who are actually interested in your vineyard?

Very good relationship. Very good weather! A lot of work. Every day for 10 hours. But only 20 days.

I visited Nyetimber Saturday, 5th August on a rainy day for one of their open days.Nyetimber only allows guests several times a year through their open days which we booked several months in advance. The grounds are beautiful (even in the rain). In general the tour felt like visiting somewhere special similar you get to a Bordeaux or champagne winery. The tour was big, maybe 80 people and was quite formal. We got views of the garden and some vines but not where the vats or other places for the production. Maybe we would have seen more if the weather was better. Nyetimber did offer umbrellas which was appreciated! The end of the tour they take you to a barn with two large tables for the tasting with someone at the front a bit like school giving some information about what you are tasting. Quite formal and the audience is too big. Generous tasting, we got three normal size glasses of the regular cuvee, the rose and the demi-sec. I was disappointed to not try the blanc de blanc as two of the three I had already tried. After the tasting it?s just lots of people buying a lot. The prices are cheaper than normal but some bottles were still cheaper online. The main benefit is you get your ticket price (£40.00) refunded if you make a case purchase. The case can be mixed of different bottles. The vineyard is not close to the station so you will need a taxi if you are not driving.Overall great experience especially if you are a Nyetimber fan but the tour and tasting wasn?t memorable and I miss the intimacy you get from a smaller group.

Good experience overall with knowledgeable staff. Disappointing that the £40 tour doesn?t include a visit of the winery itself or the cellars? this is pretty standard in continental Europe.Note you can buy bottles at ?cellar door? prices (eg £29 for classic, £40 for blanc de blancs 2015), which are perhaps slightly lower than what you can find in stores. However, it remains expensive for English sparkling wine (£29=34?, which buys fairly decent champagne in France).
