Pretty excellent experience.
3 cask ales, all in good nick.
Good selection on keg.
Choice of lagers if that's your bag.
Basic 'pub grub' printed menu lowered our expectations but the home made fayre that arrived was excellent.
(I wouldn't normally order fish n chips in a pub but one of our party did and it was 'proper')
Bar staff were also extremely helpful and friendly.
Nice if basic garden area.
Very few veggie menu options unfortunately but I still award 5 stars.
Best of all, when I mentioned it had exceeded our expectations, I wasn't asked to write a review! Bonus.
Vegetarian options: Only one veggie option on the mains menu iirc. But I'd still visit for a beer and some sides (chips, onion rings or very tasty sweet potato fries)

Absolutely amazing little country pub! We went for a Sunday roast and the food was beyond incredible. Charlotte and Dave are doing a brilliant job! Thank you very much. We will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Not an awful lot of veggie options but then again, I?m very picky!

We stumbled on this little gem on our way back from the coast. Dropped in for a quick lunch with our 2 furry companions. If you like properly home prepared food and fresh veg , this will not disappoint. Steak &Kidney pie, homemade was simply outrageously good, beautifully presented and a winner all day long (from a pie fanatic!).Friendly and warm service, we shall return to sample some more.
