Beautiful room and delicious food. I love the careful layout of rooms which go back from the entrance in different zones. First the living area with sofa and TV, then the bed, behind the bed a three quarters wall, behind the wall a desk/dressing table, a couple of steps up led to the kitchen area with mini bar, wine glasses, tea and coffee machine and real milk in the fridge. This opened to the bathroom with roll top bath, shower cubicle and sink and a little window out to a small garden, then finally a loo behind another door. All beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Also love the cocktails before dinner though rhubarb spritz was a bit bland. Scallops were delicious and plentiful. Breakfast next day is excellent. What a treat!

We did lunch, which ended 5 hours later.. from start to finish a wonderful culinary and customer experience. Could not have been made more welcome by @Samdrayson and the team. Gorgeous, chilled, and warm service. you, Pig Team !!Every dish was a taste adventure from Pork fillet to Hispi Cabbage . Lemon Sole and the Bream were cooked perfectly and sensitvely seasoned. Cocktails on point and delicious Hambledon Champers to start. Lovely atmosphere and wholesome real food . Just a joy on every level. One point Chef. . I LOVE rhubarb. It was slightly TOO tart for the average human as a desert. But I loved it... love , love this place. Well, be back. If you're thinking " The Ivy" type meal out in Chichlester. . . Go the extra mile into the beautiful South Downs in Madehurst and go up a level! Enjoy this wonderful local food experience.

We stayed here as part of our Honeymoon. We had an absolute amazing stay in the chicken shack. The room was amazing, had all the necessary items and more. The quality of all the items were also impeccable. The breakfast was delicious, and so was the dinner that we had in the restaurant. But besides all of this, the part we were impressed by the most was the service.Sadly enough, after our stay we forget some valuable items. Luckily enough, we were in contact with Giulia that helped us tremendously. First she arranged everything to get shipped back to us (middle of November).Sadly enough we never heard back from the shipping company, but she did everything she could to help us. A few months passed, and we lost all hope to get our things back, she contacted us again to say that it got shipped back to them (end of February).Once again she helped us to arrange a UPS pickup, and now one week later we got our precious items again.I do highly recommend in staying here for the great room, great food and amenities. But especially for the amazing service. We will meet again!

We came to visit this hotel after having stayed at the original hotel Pig in Brockenhurst which was so delightful and relaxing, we wanted to see if we would enjoy this place as much as we did at Brockenhurst. But unfortunately we were quite deflated by the atmosphere of the place. It felt like it was trying to replicate Brockenhurst but it just didn't suit the style or size of the building. The Pig in Brockenhurst is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel and Pig on the beach has it's own unique setting. But unfortunately, we just felt underwhelmed here. The location where the conservatory dining room and garden overlooks is a relaxing series of rolling fields. We only had a drink but just didn't feel very relaxed here. The elderflower cordial was quite bland, only tasted the sugar, cost £4 and I had to ask for a straw to stir the cordial. The fruit and vegetable garden looked fabulous with it's gorgeous shepard huts, shame they are only suitable for couples as no twin bedding was ava. The hotel was very busy considering it was only Tuesday in February where every lounge had someone on their laptops, it just felt a bit too crowded because the rooms are fairly small. We were seeking that winter quiet tranquility but this place was just too small and popular for our liking. But for someone who never stayed at any of the Pig hotels, probably would have loved staying here.

Another impeccable stay at one of The Pig hotels. Lovely, luxurious room with amazing shower, attentive and friendly staff, fantastic food from the kitchen garden, and one of the best massages I?ve ever had. Special thanks to Alex in the kitchen garden for so generously sharing his time and knowledge with us on growing winter veg! We will be back soon.

We went for dinner on a Saturday night. It felt like the staff were completely overwhelmed. They were inattentive and didn?t know the menu. The food was very good, the ambience was very loud and a lot of very drunks guests roaming the place, but for an establishment of this ?quality? and price point the staff were completely out of their depth and would be better off working at pizza express

Absolutely outstanding service - the most friendly, helpful and generous staff my parter and I have ever met in a hotel/restaurant. We already loved the restaurant (and the service) which we had been to for dinner a few times already before we finally booked a stay in one of the cottage rooms. We felt properly looked after during our stay. The rooms are lovely, the restaurant is beautiful and has a stunning view and VERY good food. The kitchen garden is wonderful to walk around and the fact that the restaurant uses such fresh produce grown in the garden makes a real difference to the food quality. You definitely want to dine in when staying here. Breakfast didn't disappoint either. Also great to have a massage in rooms based in the kitchen garden! The surrounding area is also outstanding for nature lovers (even the grey weather didn't spoil the views). It is close to Arundel castle and cathedral which are worth a visit. We loved our stay at The Pig so much we have booked another stay already - this time in one of the wagons which look too wonderful not to try). Can't recommend The Pig highly enough. Special thank you to Rosie for looking after us Catherine

Food & drinks: Food is nice but I would not recommend the steak for two as is not worth the money and not a great cut of meat, ours was more fat than meat.
