Lovely country pub, the landlord was great and kept the kitchen open to do us the last couple of roasts. Really made us feel welcome. Lovely staff.

Menu limited as refurbishment under way but food was good and service as would be expected when the place is topsy turvy. No doubt will be up to usual high standard when work is complete.

We really liked it in your pub, food was tasty and staff friendly and fast. Patio looks lovely.
But you need to renovate your ladies room! It seemed dangerous to be there as there is a hole in the ceiling, the walls are all moldy.

We were a party of 10 ( and 3 dogs!) We pre-ordered and service and food was top class. Burgers were amazing as was the rest of our choices- macaroni cheese, scampi , salmon ?
Highly recommend- we were staying nearby on holiday - shame it?s not our local !!

Look at website to get a better idea of the menu and price found out that the menu was very well priced and the portions are definitely value for money!!
Mains are average £15 and the specials well worth a look!

Walked in at 8pm on a busy Saturday with no reservation. The pub was very busy, but we could not have been given a warmer welcome. We were given a small but lovely table in the window and then served some great food and a couple of pints of very well kept Fullers beers. This was hospitality at its very best! It's great to know that Pubs like this still exist. Thank you! We will be back.

Great experience.Booked lunch for 4 and 2 large dogs following walk from RSPB centre.
Excellent proper pub venison pie with all the trimmings.
Service fantastic and even bought some kitchen left over turkey for our dogs.
Great atmosphere and very good value for money.
We had a great visit and hope to return soon

This is your quintessential country pub, great food, decent beer, and good atmosphere. Nice and cosy with 2 separate fireplaces, but for the summer, they have a good-sized garden at the back with plenty of seating.
