A great old fashioned pub, which serves some of the best beers around. Lovely atmosphere and very nice owners, who have been there longer than the pub ?

If you are out and about in West Sussex then please consider stopping inThis is an independent pub. The beer selection was good as the owners are not tied to any brewery. The atmosphere is your country Pub. The owners are very friendly and welcome guests and regulars equally with a hand shake and warm smile. I was there on a Friday. The special was Fish & Chips. The perfect lunch time meal. The food is hot and portions generous. Unlike some places The Five Bells serve cod - not halibut nor haddock. The fish is fresh and is paired with plenty of chips. I washed mine down with a half Shandy (I wanted to relive a childhood memory) then I tried a half pints of two of the pub's local beers. Dessert was a 10 year old Laphroig scotch. A very nice lunch in West Sussex. Cheers

A wonderful pub led by the lovely Joan and her lovely daughter. Great community feel, friendly and welcoming. We were camping locally near billingshurst and there were no taxis available so Joan gave us a lift back to the campsite. Just a lovely kind gesture that three middle-aged men very much appreciated. Freehold pub as well so have a good selection of beers!

Friendly enough. Conservatory too hot in the morning. Coffee and cake nice but no decaf option.

Fabulous pub. Good range of ales, including Mild! Couple of unusual foreign lagers, that are popular apparently. Had Sunday lunch on last visit, which was superb. Very friendly landlord.

Great roast dinner, puds and company. This is all served with good humour, friendship and a smile. All on our doorstep too! Puds all home made and dinner cooked to order. Reasonably priced and great beer and wine. We visit here often and always high quality.

Location was perfect as so close to the wedding venue. An older style property but all the room amenities of hairdryer. Big bath and very hot water. Dressing gown. Trouser press. Coffee tea. Plenty of space in our room no.2.Clean and comfortable.Bill our host offered a tasty full traditional breakfast, toast, OJ, fresh press coffee and decent tea.Very friendly and chatty. We had a lovely nights stay.If you plan on walking at night the lanes are extremely narrow so bring a torch. The farmer at the wedding venue does offer lifts!Food & drinks: Reasonably priced.Tasty breakfast

A delightful place to stay. Bill our host was very attentive and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Plenty of space and kitted out with hairdryer, trouser press, tv, coffee tea etc. Traditional breakfast was made to order with freshly prepared coffee tea & toast. We really enjoyed our overnight stay and as it was so very close to the wedding venue we attended it was ideal. An older style place but absolutely delightful and full of character.
