This is a lovely place to go bird watching. The staff are very friendly, the location is magnificent even in not great weather (wear a coat and good wellies) and the regulars are also super kind.We were lucky enough to see two white tailed eagles on our visit. They were some way off, but you could clearly see them with the naked eye, sat in a tree digesting some geese. We also saw red kites and a variety of smaller birds.

Regarding the birdwatching, the visit was great but, like so many other venues, there was no food which, due to the length of time it took to get there and get back, it was imperative that sandwiches were available in the cafe. For many, there are dietry requirements eg diabetis and vegetarianism and so cake and meat pastries are not suitable.

We had a pleasant visit. There is lots to engage all ages and needs. You don't need to be a nature enthusiast to enjoy your visit. The only thing that let it down was the quality of the cooked breakfast. The bacon was over cooked and crunchy. The eggs were burnt underneath. Both were very greasy. The sausage was cooked well. We also felt that it was over priced. This may have been an off day or a new cook.Overall we enjoyed our visit

A simply fantastic reserve for nature. Good sized car park, lovely restaurant with seating inside and out, plus an extensive shop. The reserve itself is a lovely walk with plenty of birds on show....and hidden (bloomin Nightingale has great camo!) Lots of warblers on my latest visit, but I always miss the Eagles! If you like birds or just want a lovely walk, then this place is for you.

This used to be one of my favourite places & I've always donated to RSPB. Now, as soon as you arrive your jumped on by dodgy used car sales type people who don't seem to understand the word 'No' ..The last 2 times I've been given different prices to both join and walk. Today they wanted £7 for an hours walk. Combine that with the rudeness of the guy and I left. I wanted a walk. Not a hard sales pitch. Will no longer be supporting. Disgraceful. Your sales people are not helping your cause.

What a superb place to enjoy nature, staff very friendly, lots of information boards informing you of points of interest in the natural world.Good toilet facilities, onsite cafe and shop, lots of parking, and best of all, if you're an RSPB member, parking is free, and you're supporting a charity for the protection of wildlife.

I highly recommend sitting in the cafe Garden on a sunny afternoon, walking through the bluebell woods and taking a good book and a flask and setting up camp for the afternoon to enjoy the birdsong.

Great day out for families, with friends or individuals, interested in Nature. Good hides and walks around the site. Children's play area. Good cafe, although I consider the cakes a little expensive now, but good for a tea and coffee stop. Toilets available. Whilst visiting, don't miss a walk in the adjacent woods. Free car park if paying to go into the reserve or a member.
