Was out on 'Drive It Day' top down in my old Triumph Stag when I saw a sign for the pub. Just too much of a coincidence so it had to be done. Two miles or so down a country lane I arrived at the quaint oldy worldly Stag Inn. Parked up directly opposite behind a nice yellow Austin Healey and said hi to those sitting at tables outside the pub and went into the bar to order a nice pint of Thirsty Ferret.
Was made to feel most welcome and struck up a conversation with those outside when I took my pint and sat at an outside table to make the most of the April sun.
Glad I found this pub and shall return to see if they do lunches or evening meals.

It was a lovely sunny day. Good enough to sit outside. The 4 of us were meeting and chose The Stag Inn because it was a 'halfway house'. We had drinks and food in the garden. The staff were lovely. They brought us a large brolly for the table - its first outing of the year as the spider verified! The beers and wines and food were great. We had steaks and sea bass, but the 'special' sweet and sour chicken was that special. Even so, we would go again and recommend you do to. Check opening times though. We got there at 12 for lunch and they were closing at 2pm on our Friday.

Thank you to The Stag Inn for an incredible lunch for a large group of us! The food was absolutely delicious and the pub was warm and ambient! The Apple Crumble and Brownie are both equally delicious!
The staff were all really lovely and attentive to giving us the best time when we stopped by after a hike! Special thanks to Keegan who gave us a lift back to our Air BnB!
Please stop by this place if you are in the area - you won?t regret it!

Got home later than expected last night so booked on spur of moment & truly glad we had. Food yummy, service great in a cosy environment, classic country pub & longggg may it continue, many thanks see you again soon.

Our party of four had an excellent lunch which was served by polite, attentive, professional staff.
The cook clearly knows what they are doung as our meals were well prepared with attention to detail.
For mains we all had the Pie of the Day, pork with cider, which was exceptional.
The draft bitter, is in my view, very well kept and its not often you get a good head on a pint these days.
The Stag Inn is a real find and if we lived nearer would definately be our local.
Well done to the excellent team at the Stag Inn.
We shall return.
