Although we've been here before for a drink, we've never eaten here, so this afternoon we stopped on our way back from the coast for a bit of.liunch. The location of this pub is perfect for a summer afternoon and we were able to get a table outside easily enough to admire the lovely setting. Unfortunately, I chose the ploughman's, which was so overpriced for what it was, it was almost laughable. There was a very small triangle of cheddar, a few pieces of ham, a very small portion of rocket and two fingers of a bread roll. It was so tiny, I wouldn't even class it as a starter size. We really should have complained at the time but it was busy and that would then have spoiled a pleasant afternoon. I also hate being put in that position, it just shouldn't have been on the menu as a main meal and at the price of £16. My partner had fish and chips which was fine and what you'd expect for a similar price. It's such a shame, it has put us off eating there again.

Could anything be more quintessentially English: the sound of leather on willow as cricket is played on the green, proud older gentlemen drive past in their classic convertibles and children practice cartwheels on the grass outside the village pub. Noah?s Ark has the setting, it has the real ale, it has the polite staff. On a summer?s day you wouldn?t want to be anywhere else.

We have just a delicious Sunday lunch with roast beef, pork belly and a vegetarian Wellington. In spite some unforeseen staff shortages this did not impact on our enjoyment. Thank you Amy and your staff for looking after us

Enjoyed a lovely lunch. The location is relaxing and the atmosphere in the bar is good. Service was friendly. A tad slow serving food for lunch but acceptable. Overall an enjoyable experience and would return. Approx £35 a head with a drink.

Had an excellent lunch here on a Friday. Food delicious with good-sized portions - the fish stew was divine. Lovely atmosphere in the barn room. Friendly service.

Open on a Monday for
Lunch - a cosy country pub on a cold day with a warm welcome and log fires . My companions had two starters each and I had a burger , all good and above average. We were first to arrive and might have had a pint of real ale had some been pulled through first but went for a Guinness instead which went down rather too guickly . Highly recommended pub in a great location .

Service great, food a little pricey for what it is. Food is nice, would suggest less seasoning of the burgers as very peppery.
