Lovely inn, quaint rooms and nice food with friendly staff. Only local beers that change regularly. Massive beer garden. Will definitely be back!

Delicious Sunday lunch - looking forward to the next time! A sunny day and a birthday lunch in the garden - wonderful. The pub was busy and we are glad we booked ahead. Thank you all at The Horseguards Inn!

Busy on a Sunny sunday afternoon. I only went into the garden, it's clearly a popular place. I'd suggest if you're going to use the garden area and it's hitting late afternoon to take insect repellent as there are lots of trees surrounding the area. It had a brilliant play area. Not the easiest to get parked outside and I'm not sure about wheelchair access. I'd visit again , not just passing through this time though. I'd pay more attention!

A wonderful pub, the life of the village (the couple next to me at the bar added a dozen eggs onto their bill as they paid). Everything a pub should be, fantastic local produce, friendly staff, beautiful building and an even better beer garden. Faultless

We had such a stellar, memorable meal here. Menu changes daily and reservations are definitely required. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious - the fish melted in the mouth and the desserts were perfect as well. Sitting in the back room, we had to wait a bit for service, but a perfect meal and evening nonetheless.

Whether you're staying overnight or stopping by for a meal, this place is outstanding. The food is 10/10 delicious ? some of the best we've had in our worldwide travels. The owners are very friendly and helpful with information for walks (Petwork park is around the corner and is utterly spectacular to explore). We enjoyed meals and drinks in the garden, which hit all the right vibes. The cherry on top: they are dog-friendly. Cannot recommend it enough!

Delicious food, accommodation staff and a nice little playground for the kids, complete with pedigree chickens in a pen they can have a look at!

A friend and I had a very disappointing lunch at the Horseguards yesterday. The cheese, leek and smoked haddock tartlet was a pre baked pastry case with a runny cheese and leek sauce and a small piece of smoked haddock on top, not what was expected and the Asian beef salad was awash in soya sauce, in fact a centimetre of soy sauce was left in the bowl after I had eaten the beef and vegetables. The chips were dry and inedible and we left them. The worst thing was that it was my birthday and my husband had phoned and pre paid for two glasses of sparkling wine for us that did not materialise. My husband phoned to complain and although the manager accepted that they had made a mistake, all that was offered was a refund of the money he had already paid. We won?t be eating here again.

I can?t rate this place highly enough! We spent a wonderful Easter Weekend here and every part of what this pub does, is perfect. The food really is a level above decent pub grub. It?s exceptional and worth the visit alone. But the chilled vibe, the fantastic range of beers and spirits (including actual craft beer, not macro imitations), the well kept and relaxed rooms, the fantastic location all set this place apart. We already are making plans to come back
