Had to readjust my medication for diabetes and diabetic nurse Julie was absolutely brilliant, reassuring and practical. Explaining everything in easy to understand terms . Nothing or any amount of questions was to much trouble. .Thank you Julie.

Poor organisation. Flawed operating systems. Unreliable phone queuing system. Every interaction online or on the phone is so bad it encourages you to go in face to face to try to find someone to take ownership of your query but no one wants to be accountable.Many times I've been cut off on the phone after 45 mins +Answer phone when calling at 1250hrs: sorry phone lines closed between 1300-1400!I've just had a text saying I'd missed a telephone appointment that I hadn't been told I had but I was urgently waiting for3 years later... Such a shame I can't add another negative review. Consistently poor service. Rude and clearly incompetent receptionists who fob you off to see a pharmacist before hearing your symptoms and hang up on you before you can ask a question. When you actually get through the nonsense the qualified staff are great but the unqualified call takers just infuriate the genuine people as they think of themselves as guardians of sorts... Shame they're knocking back the genuine people.I've lived in a few places and this surgery is by far the worst I've ever had the displeasure of using

This doctor surgery is one of the worst I?ve been too rude staff unhelpful doctors if you have more than 1 thing wrong with you , you have to make another appointment. The receptionist are extremely rude and understaffed

In this surgery you may find professional nuisances, gaslighting and inappropriate appointment making for unnecessary therapies. You may find cancelling these unsolicited appointments difficilt to cancel despite repeated requests. The receptionist are either trained in muted talking or the counter has a way of muting the receptionists voice (very dishonest places have this type of counter). While chatting to the receptionist you may feel unheard and distressed and angry. This will give them an excuse to kick you out or for them to bully you into quiet submission. While you struggle to hear, other professional nuisances in the reception area will begin talking. This creates more distress. Avoid this surgery... ew

I feel so lucky to have Dr Clark as my Dr, he is so nice, kind, patient, and professional! Thank him so much for helping me with my health conditions??. The receptionists are very helpful and friendly, thank them so much too! ???

I'm frustrated with the lack of timely asthma review appointments at this surgery.Appointments are only available two months in advance, and to make matters worse, I've had several canceled and rescheduled, often weeks later. This makes it incredibly difficult for those of us with work and other commitments, I've personally been trying to get a suitable appointment for almost a year, believe this is down to an extreme lack of staffing availablity, speaking with staff, apparently GPs are not skilled enough to conduct a review and only the one or two nurses at the survey can conduct them that are signed off as qualified.Medical care, such as reviews should be more accommodating, especially for life long chronic conditions like asthma.That being said I know there are some fantastic staff working there that do a grand job but honestly their current way of working is not inclusive and completely inflexible!

I do not understand why people are negative. My appointment with the nurse was useless. Why is she employed as she clearly does not have a clue about nursing. She sat the whole time playing on her phone I got absolutely nothing out of this. Please recruit rained nurses,The nurse coukd not even read my note, Such a waste of time.

most useless service, they will do anything possible to avoid you getting a seen by GP, firstly it nearly impossible to get in touch with someone, secondly when you actually get to speak to someone they will tell you to visit a pharmacy. So if you are lucky enough and have two days off work trying to contact them on third occasion of contact you might be lucky and they will tell you that a doctor will call you today or tomorrow, to tell you another story why you cannot have a face to face appointment with a GP

I have nothing but praise for Fitzalan Medical Centre. Having relocated to the area from another part of the country (where I had received excellent service from my local GP practice) I didn?t expect to receive a service matching up to my previous experience. I?ve actually been really impressed though. I?ve had multiple appointments for several different health issues over the past 3 years and they have always been very responsive, offering face to face or telephone appointments as appropriate in a really timely way. I have found reception and medical staff to be friendly, thorough and professional, and the phlebotomists have always been very timely and efficient and excellent at what they do.

Don?t know why these guys have a bad rep, lovely staff and if you?re calling for an actual emergency they will see you the same day. And people are complaining about the wait but what do you expect when these guys are still taking on more patients but not anymore staff. 10/10 for me

Wish I could give a -100 for this.Absolutely appalled by Doctor X. My wife went for an appointment today and left feeling humiliated and angered by a so called 'health care professional'.You hear that doctors should have a pleasant bed side manner, however, he has no empathy and should clearly not be in this industry. After advising of her symptoms and making remarks far beyond helpful regarding weight issues, he proceeded to smirk when my wife advised him that his comments do not help the situation, especially to those who have health anxiety. Due to this repulsive behaviour, she got up to walk out of the office after he stated every far fetched outcome. When just about to leave the room, he said "don't forget to write a letter of complaint, I know you already have (which my wife had not done until the events of today). On a previous consultion with Doctor X, he remarked that many people complain about his manner. It almost seems as though he relishes causing additional stress to others. No doubt a power trip from a man who is supposed to provide support and guidance to those in need.The countries health services already have an ever declining reputation, despite the hard work of many NHS heroes. However, this is tarnished more due to the actions of doctors like this.This practice should investigate what seems to be many strings of complaints for this man and follow through on the correct course of action (retirement). Until this is done, he will continue to insult, embarrass and ridicule patients who are looking to him for help.***Update 29.07.2023***Absolutely disgusted with this surgery. I do not make a point to write reviews, however the shocking service of this surgery warrants me to do so.My mother in law recently had a probable non cancerous tumor removed (in which the surgeon was confident there was no cancer), however are just waiting for the results to come through. Today, my mother in law received a letter from Fitzalan saying they were sorry to hear about her recent cancer diagnosis. Needless to say this caused a tremendous about of stress and anxiety for the entire family. After receiving this, she called the surgery with her concerns and the receptionist confirmed that they had results from the hospital advising it was cancer. My mother in law queried this further as this goes against everything the hospital advised. Despite this, the receptionist confirmed the cancer diagnosis (after consulting a doctor).We have then had to contact the hospital directly to get clarification and they have confirmed that 'no' diagnosis has been sent to the doctors and they are confident the tumour was not cancerous.I am absolutely appalled and irate at the service, prossionalism and accuracy of this surgery. They have caused unnecessary stress for us, and it is only by consulting the hospital directly that we got the correct information.It's amazing to see that the surgery replies to reviews on here when it comes to call waiting times, but dont reply to a review which highlights their poor standards.
