Called in here for dinner whilst taking a super relaxed drive home from Brighton taking the coast road, dropping in at several places along the way. Ended up having a wander around Littlehampton & looking for somewhere decent to eat. The Arun View Inn did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in & announced I would like to eat I was greeted by the most hospitable landlord & offered a choice of tables & so I chose the quieter restaurant area by a window looking straight onto the river Arun. I ordered chicken supreme from the specials board which came with white wine & mushroom sauce, saute potatoes, savoy cabbage & leek, carrots & broccoli. This wascall perfectly cooked,mthe chicken was moist & delicious & the potatoes crisp & golden. A really nice dish which I thourouly enjoyed. The waitressing staff were also very attentive & came & cleared my plate etc as they clocked that I'd finished. I then ordered lemon tarte with raspberry sorbet & raspberry jus which was also jolly nice. I can hand on heart highly recommend The Arun View Inn & would go back there again in a heartbeat. Suffice to say, if I am in the area again, The Arun View will be my go to when the dinner bell rings, as apart from being good, the prices were also pretty reasonable. If you are looking for decent food & good service then go here.
