We popped in for a late Sunday lunch and were so glad we did. The staff were warm and welcoming, even making a fuss of our dog ?, which was such a lovely touch. Service was friendly and efficient, and they thoughtfully checked whether we?d like our butternut squash Wellington prepared vegetarian or vegan. The portions were spot-on, and every dish was cooked to perfection. My highlight was the Chana Masala burger ? packed with flavour, perfectly spiced, and beautifully complemented by the chutney. A wonderful meal from start to finish.

We've been a couple of times recently and both times have been brilliant. The food is great, the staff are very friendly and accommodating too (we asked if a meal can come in separate bowls). The outside space is lovely too, brilliant spot for a sunny pub lunch/dinner. Very dog friendly too, always a bonus.

Had a meal here with friends this week, as we do regularly, and the food was absolutely delicious as always with large helpings. The staff are always very friendly and attentive too. We all agreed that eating in the Thatched Inn since the tasteful refurbishments is like being on holiday. The salad and vegetables are always very fresh as are the meat and fish. All beautifully presented and very tasty.

Lovely lunch in very nicely refurbished pub. Good menu choices, we had ham, egg & chips with carved ham and delicious hand cut chips. Caesar salad had perfectly cooked chicken and very tasty focaccia croutons. Excellent service staff were lovely. We will be back!

Mum treated my partner and myself to a meal here as she'd been here previously and loved it. We were shown to our table immediately and were informed that new owners had taken over and had only opened 11 weeks previously. The menu, mum told us, was a lot smaller than before. We didn't want starters as it was mid afternoon. I settled for bangers and mash and mum and my partner settled for ham,egg and chips. The prices were eye watering!! £16 for my meal and £18 for my partner and mum. Once the meals arrived We dived in. My mash was a tad dry and luckily I had the gravy to moisten it. The bangers were lush. The peas were slightly hard, but edible. Mums and my partners ham and eggs were as they wanted them, but the chips were served in a tiny basket thing. Which meant not very many!! Apparently they were tasty though. As none of us drink we settled with water. The tap water tasted disgusting so avoid having that!!
All in all was an expensive meal and a let down. I won't be back and have already mentioned it to some friends who had thought of going there

I visited here today, for the first time since the 1960s, I was with my brother and our friend who I hadn't seen for over a year.
We were served by the lovely and hugely efficient Karen, who went out of her way to make sure everything was right for us.
I didn't eat on this occasion, but my brother had a steak sandwich and Stuart had ham, egg and thick cut chips. Both plates were empty by the finish. Very friendly and welcoming staff throughout. Highly recommended. Ample parking and garden seating.

Had a great meal with a large group of people. As with all groups numbers seem to fluctuate but the staff were super flexible and nothing was too much trouble for them. 10/10 ?
This pub has since changed hands so this review may not reflect the new landlords regime.

Fantastic pub, the staff were amazing and extremely friendly with the kids.
Brilliant engagement with everyone.
Food was amazing, full of flavour and lots of options including a variety of vegan options.
Pub was very clean and authentically rustic, nothing bad to say other than the price reflects this, as you would expect.
Would revisit again if we are in the area
