Very good, smaller John Lewis, lots of gift ideas. The shop also has clothes and things for the home, like home decor and baby essentials. There is a cafe here too

I have shopped in Waitrose for getting on for 15 years or so now . Horsham being my main branch of use . I have shopped at this store since it opened ! A few things have brought me here to write this review! One is the ridiculous and constant price rises! They are in no way justified! If Aldi can profit off a packet of mince of £3 you cannot tell me that Waitrose doesn?t for £5 ! Yes it?s a bit better quality but not that much better to where it?s now £7.50 for a standard pack of mince ! 500gram ! I can order minced beef from the Butchers in Kensington central London to be delivered to my door and it?s cheaper ! How can that possibly be ! With the buying power of John Lewis and Waitrose! But this is not my main reason for coming to review this branch! No ! That would fall down to the absolute abysmal and rude arrogant staff that work here! Predominantly Ross ! One of the managers. I over the past have had to return to Waitrose on no fewer than 6 separate occasions due to food being either bad as in rancid or of particular bad quality! And Everytime it doesn?t just cost me time! It costs me money to have to drive back and forth again to take stuff back! After getting home two nights ago I I started to prepare dinner! We purchased 5 packets of chicken ( which is ridiculously Overpriced now ) and the other components for a meal. When I opened the chicken it was horrible! It was literally not edible! It was slimy and it was just hard gristle and it stunk! I had just come out of hospital the day before as I?m having treatment for blood cancer ! Again I had to phone the branch and get back in the car and drive to Horsham to take back the chicken! We had people coming that night for dinner and so we were under pressure to do it quickly anyway! So we drive back to Waitrose! 10 miles there and back during the start of rush hour! When we get there they literally have nothing in way of chicken ! So we are forced to buy the organic free range chicken at 5 times the price! £48 for 4 packets of chicken breasts! So we turn and say to the guy ( ROSS ) well you need to offer something! Like a small reduction for goodwill because ( A) we have had to drive back because the chicken you sold us is rancid and ( B ) we are now forced to buy chicken that is 5 times the price ! Why should we be left out of pocket so hugely because of Waitrose quality issues ??? It?s outrageous! We had no choice as we had already purchased all the other items in the itinerary to make what we were making! This guy was beyond arrogant and rude! And has no business whatsoever dealing with customers! If he doesn?t see the injustice of what was going on he is beyond help! He really is! He would not even give a £5 discount in way of an apology given what we had to go through! We spend hundreds in this store every single month! I said to him look at my Waitrose card and you will see my business in here! Most visits I spend between £300-£500 and that?s usually twice a month ! And this guy wouldn?t even entertain a ridiculous 5% goodwill after being sold rotten meat! It was unbelievable on an epic scale! Even the lady at the customer service counter apologised about her colleagues attitude when he went away! She had served me a couple of weeks earlier when I purchased a £289 piece of beef ! I told the guy I would rip up my Waitrose card and shut down my account and never ever go back! He said and I quote ( do you think that?s gonna affect me somehow ) unbelievable! So that?s exactly what I done! My account which I have had for nearly 2 decades is gone and I will never shop there again! Not ever ! Even at Christmas like I just checked before writing this I spent £1,676 at Waitrose Horsham! It won?t be my loss ! I can promise that! It?s beyond disgusting! They simply don?t deserve people?s business! Totally obtuse to customers !

Really big Waitrose and John Lewis in the same building. There is onsite parking at the bottom of the building which is free for first 30mims. But please note that there is a height restriction barrier of 2.6M to the car park. So if you are higher than that, you will have to find parking somewhere else.

So good I visited it twice in one day, no wait, I forgot something and had to go back. Second time around I was confused by a man I overheard complaining about high prices to a very patient but discombobulated shop assistant. I thought well the poor assistant doesn't set the prices, and if you want especially low prices nip next door to Lidl and then pretend you've shopped at Waitrose....

I tried to buy lemsip.
At checkout. Waitrose lady looks at my wife and asked her ID. (My wife is 30 and had our 7 month old in the pram)
Me: I told her, I?m paying.
Waitrose lady: no but you are together.
Wife gets digital copy of her passport.
Waitrose lady : sorry that doesnt work.
Me: But why do you accept digital MyWaitrose cards?
Waitrose: sorry does not work that way.
Me: Ok what if she leaves. And its just me. Can I buy the lemsip then?
Waitrose: No sorry.
Me: I buy all other groceries. Wife and baby leaves.
Me: can I get the lemsip and buy it? (Which was to the side of self checkouts in a box)
Waitrose: sorry you have to go get a new one from the shelf.
Me: this doesnt make sense? Imagine I came to buy lemsip with my son. Are you going to ask him his ID?
Waitrose: i?m just doing my job
Me: it doesn't make sense.
I wanted to pay. Why do we all need to have our IDs?
Please change the policy. I tried to buy 1 packet of lemsip! Lemsip! My throat is sore.

Tasty jacket potato, shared, with prawns. Plus delicious cup of tea in John Lewis cafe.
Then a good shopping trip for groceries in Waitrose.
