Great selection for a Tesco extra. But annoying sometimes when only 1 till open. Happy to use self scanning most of the time but sometimes you need them to scan.

I popped into this Tesco to quickly pick up some chocolates and a bottle of champagne to celebrate some good news with my partner. What should have been a joyful moment turned sour thanks to the way I was treated by the staff at the checkout.
Rather than offering a normal friendly experience, I was made to feel like a criminal. The implication that I was attempting to leave without paying for the bottle was not subtle. It was obvious, it was embarrassing, and it was completely unjustified.
I understand the need for caution in retail, but there is a line between vigilance and flat out rudeness. That line was well and truly crossed today. A paying customer should never be left feeling like they have done something wrong simply for walking through the door.
If this is the standard of service being offered, I would seriously recommend some urgent training in how to treat people with respect. I will not be returning and I will be purchasing elsewhere next time.

Can't spend cash in there for love nor money!! Infuriating. Just spent 45 mins queuing with 4 items as all machines are card only apart from one. They don't care.
Not going back! Absolute joke that they are trying to be cashless.

Trolley tokens no longer work as they changed the mechanism for the new pound coins.
The layout of the store is dreadful and they have far less stock than a smaller Sainsbury's.

New speed bumps are a disgrace. Feels like they are deliberately trying to damage their customers cars. Also causing huge queues as people have to stop before creeping over them. Total overkill. Avoid at all costs

The staff picking for online orders make shopping here SUCH a PAINFUL experience.
I?ve lost count of the amount of times I?ve been run into, blocked in or cut off by the big blue trolleys they wheel around without any regard for customers doing in person shopping (never with even a hint of an excuse me, sorry etc)
Either they are absolute morons, lacking in common sense and spatial awareness in which case there is no hope or you need to SERIOUSLY look at giving them some training on their positioning on the shop floor and awareness of other customers as currently it seems they have had nothing of the sort.

Worst place to shop do not come here! The staff was so rude and refused to sell me alcohol even after showing my ID they refused it because they believed that I was with another under group. Absolute madness just because I walked past a group doesn?t mean I?m in the group. To add to that when refusing to sell me the product the 2 staff one large female and one large mane was nothing but rude about it and told me to shop elsewhere which I will be doing!
Tescos you should be ashamed ur staff are nothing but rude.

Following on from the previous review of problems on Sunday I agree with all that was said. Also the lift was out of action again. Second Sunday in a row! Although not directly Tesco but Costa Coffee must have had problems because everything was served in takeaway cups and paper bags.
Update just been to this store again today. Still no lift!

Not sure what's going on, this used to be a pretty good Tesco's but now, I just went there on Sunday.
Mens cubical was broken, the one next to it was unmaintained "Number 2 everywhere"
Disabled toilet was out of order too.
Went to scan as you shop, that too was out of order too. ?
Everything is basically broken in this Tesco's. By far the worst one I've been in. ?
Made me want to go back to the Crawley branch ?
