Went to Sports direct today around 5pm. I was looking for football boots for my son. When we about to go downstairs a man just came and say we are closed. I wasn't happy with the service why not check on your customers when you that you are about to close.

Went to Sports Direct yesterday to look for a few bits. I had a good and bad experience with staff?
A kind man with an accent who was at the front of the store helped me reach the jumpers. He was very polite and patient with me! When I got to the till an old lady with grey hair (Who I believe to be the manager) was quite rude to the man. She asked him a question and when he answered she told him to slow down when talking on the walkie-talkie. The way she spoke was awful and you could see by her facial expression how irritated she was by him. It?s something I wish I never witnessed! Just looking at the reviews I can tell she?s not a nice person, would recommend to avoid this shop!

I?ve just been into sports direct, Horsham, and I was told my an unwelcoming woman that I had to carry my dog or he would have to stay outside. I am horrified at this. I understand dogs not being allowed in places like boots and Superdrug but sports direct is supposed to be an outdoor sporty store and this didn?t make it feel like that. My dog teddy has been allowed in there before so what?s different with this time?!
I?ll never be buying from there again.

So many bad reviews about Sports Direct staff here. We must be lucky in Worthing. I've always found the staff are helpful - one of them is outstanding. The stock is a mixed bag. For standard stuff it's okay and good if you're on a budget.

Do not shop here, for me everything went from bad to worse! I picked up a pair of shorts that clearly said on the label that they were 19.99, but after paying at the till realised I had been charged 22.99. Assuming this was just a mistake, I spoke to the staff member at the till and explained. She went to check the price, and came back and told me that all the other ones were priced at 22.99, that one was a price change that had been missed as they come in priced online, and so they could not refund me the extra money. This is appalling on two fronts- one that the instore price is for some reason more expensive than the online price, and two that because of their error I was expected to pay extra- she implied that I should have looked at the prices on the other items on the rail which is ridiculous- I picked up the size I wear. I was polite to the girl at the till, and said i knew it wasnt her fault, but i used to work in retail, and if the price on the ticket or shelf was wrong as a result of store error we would override the price, which is surely common sense. The store supervisor said they try to go round them all to check but they might have just come in. My response to that is that surely the prices of items should be checked by staff as they put them out. To add further insult to injury, when I decided to return the shorts pretty much immediately, having found the same pair available for £10 less a few stores down, the staff member at the till was quite rude to me, and just put it through straight away, and did not explain that the refund is credit note only. In this day and age I think it is ridiculous that you can't refund customers- it feels like theft! Especially as I won't be returning to a sports direct shop again, so I have now lost 22.99. The lady said that it was clearly stated on the receipt and on a sign at the till- let's face it, no one reads the little signs next to the till, most of the time you don't have the opportunity to, and you can't see it on a receipt unless you've paid for something, which kind of defeats the purpose! I wish I'd listened to people who told me that sports direct is a con!

Big sports store filled with loads and loads clothes and nothing more. Small upstairs with limited sports equipment which is shockingly bad with rubbish selection.
Poor sports store if that is what you can call it.

Wanted to buy safety boots. Had to go round the store to find an assistant who's attitude was don't care, told me to go back to the shoe section where a guy would help. Told her he wasn't there, due didn't care. Then went to the door where another assistant said there's a guy there, told her there wasn't. Again no helpWalked out. Why can't sd assistants assist?

Beware of no returns policy - only exchange or credit note. There is a notice by the tills but the specific wording is hidden away.

Very unhelpful, rude staff. Accused one lady of screaming at them (she didn't) customers were walking out of the store as staff were stood around talking and shuffling boxes. One older woman (the one who accused the lady of screaming) I assume a manager was very condesending and rude. One of the staff called Naomi just ignored customers waiting for left shoes. A young guy thought it was funny to scoff at customers leaving. I decided not to bother. Massive loss of sales due to very poor staff.
