During my visit to the fragrance department at John Lewis, I had the pleasure of meeting Su and Phebs. From the very first moment, they made me feel at ease. Choosing a perfume isn?t always quick for me, but they never rushed the process ? instead, they patiently guided me through the options with genuine smiles and an easy, friendly manner.
What stood out the most was how natural and effortless the whole interaction felt. It wasn?t just about finding a scent I liked ? it was about enjoying the time spent discovering it together. Their kindness and professionalism turned a regular shopping trip into a truly delightful experience.
A big thank you to Su and Phebs for their warmth and patience. Encounters like this make a simple visit to the store feel special ? and that?s something I?ll remember for a long time.

I went into John Lewis in Horsham looking for a graduation present for a friend. Damon in the beauty section was exceedingly helpful and assisted me in choosing some lovely Jo Malone as a gift. He provided excellent knowledge, customer service and a very pleasant overall experience.

A great shopping experience, in JL store overall as usual
Particular praise to Claire , the home design stylist , who really went the extra mile to assist us with our shopping experience from picking out curtains and voiles and helping us pick out the correct style to fit our restricted space to our selection of a sofa and chairs and a smaller second sofa for our bedroom

The 10% discount that working with a designer brings ( on top of the sale prices ) was very welcome indeed
The only criticism we have is of the J Lewis website and App and general IT systems . We built our order in store with Claire but an IT glitch meant that it got ? stuck ? , I then rebuilt the order in store on my iPad using the JL app but certain items were in the app to order and for others like the sofa it referred me to the website . Items added there didn?t show up in the app though

If you like Waitrose and if you like John Lewis then this is the place for you, spacious modern layout covering two floors with a cafe and a second coffee shop. Plenty of parking underground and overground covering two floors. Parking is a Maximum of 3 Hours, it's a pay & display cash or card payment with a maximum cost of £3. First 30 minutes are free and you can get a £2 refund in store in either Waitrose or John Lewis if you spend £10 or more.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Alistair who offered to help me, coming off the shop floor, as his colleague in the Tech Section, was busy with another customer. I was having problems with my Roberts Revival Petite radio and needed help in setting it up again. He couldn't have been more helpful. John Lewis service at it's best! Thank you Alistair.

I had a great experience with this store's free personal styling service - the stylist, Maria, struck a great balance between listening to my ideas/needs and encouraging me to be open to styles outside my usual comfort zone. She was also very knowledgeable about the range available. I left with several items that I really love and would probably never have found on my own. It was a world away from my typical experience of clothes shopping which I don't tend to enjoy as I end up feeling like nothing fits or suits me, whereas here the challenge was narrowing down what to buy from the many great options I had!

I?m really disappointed with John Lewis. I bought a sofa bed with a 15-year frame guarantee, and when a hinge mechanism broke, I was told it?s not covered ? even though there?s no mention anywhere in the guarantee that hinges are excluded. I asked multiple times for this in writing and never received a clear answer. Instead, I was quoted £159.60 to fix it.
To make matters worse, this comes after a previous issue where I ordered an item that was shown as ?in stock? but wasn?t ? and I was left in limbo with no proper communication.
I used to trust John Lewis for quality and customer service, but sadly that trust is now gone. Extremely poor aftercare and a guarantee that doesn't seem to mean anything when you actually need it.

I went into the store on 10th February to buy some perfume for my daughter's birthday. As soon as I entered the perfume section I was greeted by two members of staff who offered to help and then found what I was looking for. The packaged my gift and served me so enthusiastically that I was left feeling like an absolute VIP customer! I then popped into the Waitrose section for a few groceries and received a similar welcoming service from the cashier there. I left the store feeling very happy after receiving good old fashioned service like it used to be!

Dreadful helpline service. Bought an electrical item before Christmas that had a fault. Returned it to store but no replacement in stock so told to wait. Can't contact store for info, can only reach helpline who sound completely bored and not really interested in helping. Still waiting to replace a broken Christmas present. Hopeless.
