Amazing service! Popped in on the off chance they could help here, as did not want to queue up in A/E for a bug bite. Prescribed antibiotics. Very knowledgeable, informative, and quick to help. Thank you, you made my day!

Boots is what it is!! They seem to have limited stock and have to order in a lot of meds now!! Probably more the sign of the times!!

I write this, not about the poor staff but how this Boots Pharmacy is managed by Boots itself. Having used this pharmacy since 2007, I have noticed its decline. The staff are overworked, you, Boots, do not provide enough workforce required for it to run efficiently.
Shame on you Boots Management.

The staff at this Boots branch went all out to help me with a medication that was in short supply. They kept me informed with phone calls and texts until they sourced a supply. Excellent service.

Utterly appalling.
I take cocodamol, which my gp is aware of, for migraines, osteoarthritis and adenomyosis. Note, this is not a pharmacy I use normally. Picking my daughter up from a friend's in the neighbourhood, I thought I'd get back up in case. Remember, this is only used if absolutely needed, normally i use para or ibuprofen.
Waiting for ages in queue for someone to attend a queue of 8+ people, I eventually get to the counter. (This is after a woman whose accute med prescription went in yesterday and was told they had only downloaded it today, so would only be available from tomorrow. Poor lady tried arguing that it was needed today as her gp said it was to be used from today. No such luck, person behind the counter argued, "maybe your gp doesnt know how we do things here". Had to leave without her medication.)
Asked for my med and get the 3rd degree what it's for. Explaining its for migraines, I assured him my gp is fully aware and he's telling me off in front of an entire queue. I say that I don't usually get from that pharmacy and only take it when absolutely necessary. Plus if its a problem to sell to a customer, why is it an over the counter medicine? I understand the repercussions of the medication, which is why I only take it if necessary but to berate a person because of buying an otc medication, treating them like they're a child (I'm 43 btw) saying I needed to make an appointment with my gp and next time they won't sell to me without a prescription (this is the second time I've ever used the pharmacy).
For someone who has legitimate pain and takes this only when needed it's appalling that this guy feels the right to humiliate me in a queue of people.
Power tripping much?!
Boots - do better. There are people with genuine ailments who actually have common sense.

This is probably the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Their hours online are incorrect as they don't mention that they are on lunch from 12:30 to 13:30. This should be updated. Medication is never ready on time. I was not the only person who had to sit and wait or come back in a few days time.

Closed every day for lunch from 12:30 to 13:30, which is not the hours given on google maps. Drove 45 minutes to get here then had to wait another 50 mins to collect a prescription.

Abysmal service today. Had to get an emergency prescription over the weekend, no other pharmacy locally could source it. So the staff here ordered it in for today. I rang to confirm it had arrived to be told (by the manager) that ordering stock on a Saturday was ?impossible? and that it would be a further couple of days before it would arrive. I said I?d come in and take the prescription elsewhere as it was urgent. After hanging up he called back to say that it was actually there and would take an hour to label?
I went into the store about 20 minutes after the phone call to hear the staff talking about me in the stockroom. I challenged that behaviour and questioned why I had been lied to about the impossibility of a Saturday order. The manager even brought out the guy I?d dealt with on Saturday so I could identify him. The guy had done everything he?d said he would do on Saturday. The manager did not apologise for his mistake and purely threatened to remove me from their system for raising my voice.
This pharmacy has really gone downhill since Boots in their ?wisdom? saw fit to let a number on long-standing and capable staff go. Some of the team now are both woefully overworked and unprepared for the needs of the business.

So slow........perfectly pleasant people but their backlog of prescriptions never seems to clear. Someone is clearly needed on the till so that the pharmacist and assistant can focus. But, why does it take 14+ days for a prescription to travel from the surgery over the road, be sorted by this pharmacy and then finally a text sent? It used to take 3-4 days. At least the pharmacists are lovely patient people.
