Went to the Works to purchase coffee beans for our home bean to cup machine. Waited a long time to be served despite nobody else in the queue. The coffee was fantastic though- Almer Road roast. Will be back to try the other options

Hours wrong. Travelled some way to meet a friend here as a half way point. Despite saying on menu that food was served until 3.30, they wouldn?t serve us cake and coffee at 15.05 on Sunday, saying they finished at 15.00 and closed at 3.30.
They started putting up chairs in tables while people still eating.
We were thankful for The Red Lion round the corner who were very friendly and welcoming and did great coffee and deserts!

Nice coffee and nice place. Just a shame they are so quick to pack up early! Supposed to be open till five but by 3.30pm nearly all tables on chairs and sweeping up and this is a regular occurance...not welcoming in the afternoons!

Coffee work didn't work.....
We called in yesterday morning 4 of us a for a coffee and to check out this place with a view of returning later for lunch.
We placed our ordered with a young girl that had sadly forgotten her smile at home
3 x extra hot latte
1 x smoothy
Eventually (20 minutes on)
Our luke warm latte arrived
Together with unfortunately the smoothy that could have been more chilled.
Would we return ?
Well we didn't for lunch and wouldn't return fo coffees.
Probably not a big loss as we're not local.
Hopefully this review helps with future staff training

Such a shame that every time I've tried working from here the WiFi hasn't worked. Would avoid if you want to work/study

Visited at 3.30on Sunday and ordered two coffees to drink in. They were served in paper cups without telling us beforehand. When we queried why, they said it was close to closing time and they couldn?t wash them up. We were the only customers and I don't think it would have been much trouble to hand wash them. Had i know in advance, I wouldn't have ordered the coffees and left. The assistants behind the counter were totally indifferent to my complaint. Wont be going there again

Good flat white and lots of seating. Free WiFi if you need it too!

Average coffee is served by youngsters who would rather not be there. They refused a potential customer who walked in 11 mins before closing. Not surprisingly, really when the staff were overheard saying quarter to 5, and we are done.

Great coffee and a lovely tucked away location and coffee shop. Unfortunately, the cakes/ sweets we had were average

Probably just the case that I went on a particularly busy day but we waited 20 mins for 2 coffees and 40 mins for 2 cheese toasties. Other than the wait times, the food and coffees were very nice. We had both wanted bagels but the kitchen had run out by 1pm. Really lovely set-up and I?d go back, just hopefully on a day where the service was a bit better.

Last Sunday afternoon, I had the pleasure of visiting Lindfield Coffee Works, and I must say, it lived up to all the praise I'd heard. Nestled along a charming High Street, this coffee shop is a true gem in the area.
First and foremost, the coffee was simply amazing. Rich, flavourful, and perfectly brewed, it was a delightful pick-me-up. Accompanying the exceptional coffee was equally fantastic food, making for a delightful experience.
The atmosphere is just as commendable as its coffee and food. It's a vibrant, lively place, bustling with people who clearly share my appreciation for this spot. While the popularity of the coffee shop means you might have to wait for a table, this isn't necessarily a downside. In fact, it's a testament to how beloved it is by the local community.
For those who are a bit impatient, there's always the option to grab your coffee to go and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the lovely High Street, exploring its quaint shops. However, if you manage to snag a table, you'll find it's well worth the wait. The ambiance inside is warm and welcoming, creating a perfect setting to enjoy your coffee and food.
In conclusion, I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area. Its combination of outstanding coffee, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere makes it arguably the best coffee shop around. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit here is a must!

The best coffee by far with the friendliest staff.
