Amazing place, amazing people

If I was an Anglican living in Lindfield, with friends and family, this would be a great church to visit. However if you're not an Anglican and not living in Lindfield, have no car, and are recently bereaved, it was a lonely place to visit. Yes I was greeted warmly by the vicar and one or two other people as I made my way in, but after the service I was hopeful for a hot drink and some encouraging conversations with other Christians. There was no fellowship time at all, everyone spoke to their friends and family and made their way out. I asked whether there was any fellowship time for Christians to encourage one another in the faith, living in this fallen world, and was told to come back at another time! Easy to say if you're just living down the road or have a car. I came by taxi to the traditional service at 11:15am, hoping to sing at least one of the great hymns of the faith from the great stalwarts like Isaac Watts, Charles Wesley, John Newton, William Cowper, Bonar, and Spafford. No not one! They've sadly all gone out of fashion. Whilst the message was quite challenging, I submit to you my completely independent review, as a outsider visiting All Saints for the very first time, not an anglican, not connected to the church, who did not know anyone, etc. I hope you fare better than I did.

Thank you for this church and the people who work there. They are the best people we have met.

Everything I've heard last 30 years exceptionally positive - if you want a proper community worship of this or near flavour All Saints' is bang on.

First visit to All Saints (recently retired and moved to area). My wife and I went to the 11.15am service. We liked the church and the welcome. Just right without being overbearing. We enjoyed the service and Vicar Steve was very much on our wavelength with his sermon. We'll be back.

Good that you can see inside this interesting old village church which seems to be part of an active community. Modern floor tiling and wooden seats blend well with the older features. Colourful stained glass and interesting to read that stained glass craftsman Charles Eamer Kent donated 3 bells for Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1887.
