With a birthday to celebrate & it being Hallidays 25th Anniversary, what better way, than to celebrate them together with fabulous food.
As soon as you enter you're thinking ' this is nice', with the size, exposed beams and decor giving you that comfy, cosy feeling.
We opted for the 3 course menu and struggled to make decisions as what to have - too many yummy things.
Hallidays had made their own celebratory fizz - inc prosecco, chambord & a raspeberry- quaffable! Accompanied by home made cheese puffs and hand cut crisps, of course, both were top notch.
Starters were the goats cheese tart & crab on toast - both winners for us.
Main courses were beef fillet (cooked perfectly medium rare) & local monkfish.
Puddings of apple tart (amazing presentation, never seen it served in that way) & salted caramel ice cream as well as chocolate torte with honeycomb. Both puddings were sublime, but think the tart won the day due to combination of the flavours & presentation.
This restaurant has restricted opening days/times, so it's very much recommended to book in advance.
Overall, this was a cracking meal in a friendly setting, one that I whole heartedly recommend.

Brilliant evening. Food was really tasty and portions were good. Staff very attentive and friendly. Price is what you would expect.

Lovely lunch ruined by the unfriendly demeanor of the lady who I believe is the owner.
Collected plates without a word as I believe the young lady I presume was her daughter seemed really nice.
Certainly won't go back as atmosphere is as important as quality of food.
Shame
Must add though the general conversations and banter that took place with the other diners was very enjoyable xx

We've never had a bad meal at Hallidays & definitely our restaurant of choice if you want a change from pub grub. The prices are not bad either - our 3 course Sunday lunch was delicious and at under £30 each, good value.A great venue for excellent food in civilized and relaxed surroundings.

Excellent food and good service. This restaurant has been consistently good since the first time I ever went there, many years ago.

We visited here for Sunday lunch and had the set menu option. 3 courses for a reasonable price per head. The quality of the food and service was great. We will definitely be back. Book in advance to as its a popular place and lots of returning customers. Parking is limited as it is in the centre of the village. Didnt take many pictures here but really enjoyed the Gamay Noir so thought I'd share.

Not a big place so relatively small menu - choice of 4 dishes per 3 courses for fixed price of a reasonable £41.50. Food quality was high. Good service. For me just lacked atmosphere - very plain decor and you could hear a pin drop. We were there on a Thursday eve so may have more ambience on a Friday or Saturday.
