I have completely fallen in love with the cocktails, food, wine and serving staff of this place. I ate every crumb of food and drop of drink and savoured the wonderful atmosphere.
I started with scollops, perfectly cooked, punchy in flavour, gone in minutes. I had a sunset negroni that hit hard and I was mesmerised by the cosmo that came to our table with a bubble and had all in the restaurant wowing! Opted for the fillet steak, perfectly cooked and paired with a Malbec which I asked for guidance on without out any pretentiousness and with helpful steering. Choccy fondant again perfectly cooked and I never like mint choc chip ice cream but this worked. My table mates had just as much fun as I did although I think the Halibut could have done with a minute or two less of cooking. But hey, I accidentally booked a week before I meant to and the staff were very kind about it when they called me to check. On arrival we were given a choice of table and allowed to inspect them both. We opted for the quiet area so we could ensure everyone at table could hear my hilarious jokes and stories. Thank you.

First time visit on the recommendation from others. Fabulous food - nothing that could be improved and a great wine list, with Ben the FOH and owner offering the most amazing service and knowledge about the food and wines on offer. My husband loved the smoked old fashioned particularly. Love a bit of theatre! will return soon even though we live miles away!

We went here for our anniversary dinner, wonderful food and service! We had the duck and lamb, both very tender and juicy.
For starters we had the duck roll and scallops, I normally don?t enjoy seafood which I always find ?fishy? but I loved the scallop, complemented by the sauce/puree that goes with it.
For dessert we had the mango cheesecake, not the most impressive but not bad and would overall recommend this place !

We had another wonderful evening at Sylvan Oak. Despite being fully booked all the staff were attentive and the service was exemplary. Ben was his usual friendly professional self with everyone. Compliments to the chefs for such delicious and beautifully presented food. We will, of course, look forward to returning. Thank you Sylvan Oak!

I have been here many times and I have loved the experience each time. I moved away to Southampton for a couple of years and am yet to return but I really am looking forward to it. The service is always great from a lady with blonde short hair and a man called Ben, who always goes out of his way for all guests. His memory is also very good. As you can see from my photos, my sister liked her food so much, she declared her love for the chef.

This is a highly rated restaurant that i have always wanted to try and is tucked away in the Findon village, free on street parking round the corner.
On arrival, Manager Ben was on the phone taking bookings and he still managed to provide a warm welcoming and that he will be us very quickly, that I appreciate and is rare to see nowadays.
It's early Sunday Lunch sitting and he gave us a great seating area with more room, rather than a tiny table. That's very good service and practice indeed.
From start to finish, we have received the highest level of service from Ben, very professional, friendly, and attentive.
Food were fresh and tasty, perfectly cooked and presented. See photos, there is nothing that I can fault.
Cocktails are £12 each, all made to perfection, alot of the ingredients are home grown and homemade.
I have been to lots of restaurant, and Sylvan Oak of Findon is definitely one of the very best restaurant that I have been to. The whole experience is Michellin star like if not better, and at a fraction of the cost.
100% highly recommended and will visit more often in future to sample other items on the menu. Their menu is fixed with 4 to 5 choices on a monthly rotation. Portion size is big, so you could have 2 courses at £40 instead of 3 courses at £50.

First time visiting and not disappointed. The service was fantastic and the food was incredible. So nice to eat quality produce in such a fabulous menu. Will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend.
