This is a great cafe, with a good menu, lovely staff and a great atmosphere. Perfect for a special breakfast, a good cup of coffee or tea and cake with cricket - a summer treat, all year round.

A great clean cafe, nice indoor seating and overview of the cricket too. Easy to take away and sit overlooking the playing field or village green alike. Friendly community vibe and nice coffee too.
Would definitely recommend.
Plenty of free parking right outside and a good place to start and end a walk, run or ride from.

I stopped off at The Fern on a mountain bike ride recently. It?s a lovely spot and the cafe has really friendly staff and great food and drinks. Their South Downs Coffee is a good as you?ll find. I?ll definitely be going back soon. ?

Two friends and I stopped at the Fern today whilst on a motorbike ride to the coast. We were warmly greeted and had some excellent bacon rolls and coffee whilst sat in the sunshine in the beautiful surroundings.. after deciding to sit outside rather than on the comfy sofas inside, facing the view through the glass bifold doors. The owner, another motorcyclist, spent a little time chatting with us and brought us some excellent cake for afterwards. The ladies serving made us feel very welcome, as did some of the other customers. We will definitely be coming back, and wanted to tell others of this great little cafe. The owner asked us to tell other riders, which will happily do.
Parking: A large, hard surface car park.

Truly excellent cafe serving very tasty savoury snack meals, nice cakes, tea, coffee and alcohol. Portion size is good and prices reasonable. The cafe overlooks the village sports field and there is decent sized car park. The latter could do with marked bays, since on our visit, several drivers had parked taking space for 2 cars.

We held a private party in the function room here. I can not recommend this venue highly enough! A superb, 5 star lunch from an experienced team who made our special occasion worry and stress free.The venue is modern and light and we were able to make it feel our own for the day.High quality food, experienced staff and the best local coffee to end the day!All of our guests complimented the food, staff and venue. We'll be back! Thank you to the Fern team for truly a memorable day x

Lovely place but I am not a dog lover whilst eating. Might just be me . Not comfortable at all. Good portion sizes, cooked as you wait so hot and fresh.
