After a very early start to get to East Preston for a holiday. We arrived and decided to have some food here. It wasn't disappointing. Delicious food, friendly staff and the interior is very cool. Highly recommend.

Never been to East Preston before. It was a last minute decision, before my family went back to London.
The Grub and Gumption has a variety of food and drinks available, and seating inside and out. Dog friendly m, but obviously, common sense needed. Small area, keep your dogs and children (near road) under control.
We had take away. Unfortunately, it did take a long time to get our food which ate into our family time together which was limited. But, they were very busy as there was a D-Day event just opposite.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, lovely surroundings.
I wouldn't personally order the same again which was a bacon wrap, as the cream cheese made it very unstable, and soggy, so everything fell out of the wrap, and I ended up throwing it away.
My daughter and grandchildren loved their sausages, scrambeled eggs, and beans which were put in a separate container. They said it was very tasty.
Best of all, there take away boxes were recyclable which is a big thumbs up from me.
Children's food came in a box with handles.

The best place for food in East Preston, be is coffe and a cake, a lunchtime wrap or one of their Suppoer Club evenings - always friendly and great food/drink - dog friendly too

Cool, quirky cafe in the lovely town of east Preston conveniently located a stones throw from the beach. Opening times seem to vary though? I?d say about 80% of the time we?ve visited we have been told they?re closing even though it?s been early afternoon with a seemingly full compliment of staff. We used to love coming here during a beach walk although recently we feel like more of an inconvenience to some of the staff for placing an order. We?ve since switched to the Lighthouse Cafe a few doors down who seem grateful of our custom and stay open past 2pm!

Stumbled upon this place on a long dog walk and had a fantastic breakfast, then came back two weeks later and had an amazing lunch! Such friendly people, amazing food (the crayfish sandwich omg) and a beautiful place to sit too! Couldn?t recommend more!
