Visited today to pay some money into my account - people were queuing out the door. Nationwide then closed one of the counters at peak time, which is just insulting. Don?t bother unless you?ve got an hour to spare queuing up - they really need one of those cash machines where you can pay money in

I love them at the east grinstead branch. So helpful and patient especially as a pensioner. Its lovely to be able to into a branch face to face to sort out a problem rather than hanging on a phone and get nowhere. Please don't close.

The staff are really nice and helpful except for the small lady who does not want to talk to us. I just assisted my wife to the branch for her savings.We do not want also that the branch is close on a Monday and Friday because those are the available days for most of us. You promise to stay in high street but you are not available the whole weekdays and on Saturdays there is a long line waiting. How can we request to the high positions in Nationwide that we need them on a monday and friday?

I ventured in here the other day for the first time ever. I popped in here really as I am considering in future possibly opening an account with this building society. The last physical high street branched one locally in East Grinstead town center shopping area.I had a medium duration queue wait in the branch here, before kind counter staff helped me with some provided basic literature to read. I was directed to see more online. I expected this of course these days. But I'm old school and still like an actual physical branch to go into. Especially for raising enquiries basic and preliminary to help me to decide where I am going. Very polite and helpful, friendly staff here. Make you feel welcomed. I have to say that I liked the place for that reason. Trying to make a decision now between this and another local area building society.

Disappointing that this branch (and i assume many others) is closed all weekend now. Many have returned to work and dont have any other time to visit a branch (which some tasks still require). I know this is done to protect staff but it was still open weekends at the height.I would like to say the staff have always been friendly, helpful and efficient.Happy to amend rating once things go back to normal
