The use of gates to get out of the self-service checkouts really irritates me and has completely put me off shopping here.
It was frustrating, claustrophobic, and inconvenient. It gives off an undesirable image about this Sainsbury's shop re their shrink/theft if they think they need these gates installed.
I am clearly shown on the self-serve terminal camera as paying for my items. Then as I've shoved the receipt to the bottom of my shopping bags, I then have to muck about balancing several bags of shopping and digging the receipt out, to then try to scan a scrunched up receipt on the rubbish barcode reader on top of the gates.
The only reason why I go to this store now is for the Argos inside.

I don't work here, today it felt asif I did. The manned checkout desks were crammed full. The single staff member at the self-checkout was overwhelmed. Let's admit it, these don't work. But it felt as if I did.

I?ve been a local shopper here for years, but I?ve noticed something concerning about equal opportunity. I?ve seen one person at the far end of the store talking for years while others around them are working hard. The same thing happens at the self-checkout, where you got group stands doing nothing. It seems a bit racial. Sainsbury?s needs to sort this out.

Big selection of food, clothes, but the kiosk to buy cigarettes has two staff but only one working a queue building as is also returning good till. They should have staff working on another till if you need to buy lottery or cigarettes. Now u lost 3 people as we couldn't wait i also saw another customer leave. So apart from terrible delivery service they pay staff to stay around. U have van parking in the pick up section outside. No organisation asda has so will spend my next 500 pound shop there next time. I remember why I haven't been in a while terrible

Hot food as part of the meal deal ? lots of parking and a park just across the road for dogs, stroll to stretch the legs (potentially some cricket, if you're into that and get the right day)

Vast supermarket with home wear, clothing, pharmacy, bakery and Argos.
Large carpark. Good wine selection. Good offers with Nectar Card. Stock/shelving can be a bit muddled/untidy.
